Do we need an anthem?

A few points:

1/ There's nothing wrong with songs that come directly from the people. Grand Old Team was a song originated in Liverpool schools; Z-Cars was grafted onto the club by some divvy in the Moores regime.

2/ Some have suggested dedicated singing sections: an abomination IMO and as cosmetic as you can get.

3/ North London Forever is unbelievable tat

4/ YNWA was first sung by Man United fans after the Munich air disaster in '58
1. Yes totally agree songs from the fans at the match are the onky ones we should be doing. I hate the away we've started singing the likes of Here we go, Spirit of the blues and Forever Everton. The fan version of Forever Everton was Were all laughing at Liverpool. Thats the Everton fan song out of those.

2. Disagree conpletely. Singing sections are using your brain to get fans who want to sing together in an era of being allocated a particular seat. Really poor that we cant even organise something as simple as that, and even worse that some fans still dont even understand what one is.

3. Agree.

4. Wrong. The Park End sung it early 50s, and separate to that, Everton were the first to change the words to it which we done in the 60s. To be a great football song you have to have fans making their versions up, not singing the original word for word.

I disagree mate, I think it’s ok as long as it’s not over used.

And no we don’t need an anthem.

Just as a matter of curiosity, who in your opinion is the last non-clown we had running the club?
They were good before the Brentford game in my view. Highlight of the game

Their existence sort of stratifies supporters as 'the fanatics' and the rest. I also dont like how forced it all looks.

Its for fans who like to sing more at the match thats all. No one forces anyone to sing in them. Its just pointless to go in one if you dont want to. When our fans who liked to sing could congregate during terracing and unreserved seating there was nothing forced about it then

Yes, and that's entirely natural - not regimented and not self-consciously formalised. Spontaneous.

...unlike a dedicated singing section.
