I reckon he's some modern day Frankenstein creation made from different bits of Brett Angel, James Beattie and Micheal Madar.

Sven was right. He's a genuinely terrible footballer.

hes a big dogs dick! but runs around like Dirk Kuyt...

I thought he was one of the shining lights against Bolton. He battled hard with little to no help from Saha, should've got a few more free kicks off Zat Knight but dealt a few to the pair so might've been a fair trade. Provided some hilarity with his nod-to-arm-to-feet-to-arm again. He's definitely not the most gifted player in the team, but at the moment him and Ossie seem to be the only ones who give a damn.

I never want to piss on the belief and hope a lot of our fans have for anyone pulling on the blue jersey but sometimes it's counter active. We can't carry sub standard players in the team with the squad size we have.

It would seem that thats all we can hope for,With loan signings its hit and miss, for every Drenthe theres 10 Straqs

I'd be half surprised if we're not playing this soon:

4-6-0

------------------------Usual defence-------------------

Donovan--- Osman--- Fellaini--- Rodwell--- Billy--- Drenthe

....actually, that's not a bad team :o

you kidding we play that formation for 80% of a game anyway lol

Right. Is there really a difference if the midfielders are pushed back, and the striker is almost offsides. We actually play a 4-5-0 sometimes, with the striker being a decoy with no chance of scoring.

You are right there Xavi. Shame though as I think Beckford was a decent sort and may have been an ok squad player if not a first choice striker for us. However, selling the Yak for half what we got for Beckford says it all. As Blackburn are showing...put someone along side Yakubu so that he isn't having to take on a whole back line and the lad will score goals. DM only ever really played him up front alone (sometimes with a token midfielder pushed a few yards up to make it look like we had two attackers on the pitch) and wanted him to track back and defend deep too much. Had we given him and Beckford ten games together to find a rapport and a rhythm we may have been surprised. DM won't ever take a gamble like that though.

I couldnt disagree there like , makes you think if he'd have given those two a chance , I think the Yaks wages were terrifying the club which is why Phini Zavi was hired personally to get shut, which is how Straqularsi ended up here, hard to believe hey ?
