You prove to me professor Lord Sugar the problem was his knees because I've been told by 2 different football agents one who was involved in the negotiating that it was his 4 agents asking for too much for fee's but you keep arguing and I'll provide the facts with the amount of goals he's scored and kept Newcastle in the division FACT

Three words for you:

Couldn't. Get. Insurance.

I agree with this ^ ^ except that He shouldn't be starting imo, hes a good impact player to come on with 20 mins to go when we need a goal and he can play with his back to goal, win headers and just generally be a nuisance to the centre halves.

Didnt expect him to last an hour last night but with the injuries we had he had to paly the full 90

Yeah I agree with that too. An impact sub would be a better role for him but our options are so limited that we dont really have much choice at times.

To say he is the worst player ever for us as some have said based on such a little amount if time is absolute madness. He showed with his little back heel to Donovan last night before the penalty claim that he has something about him at least.

He aint the most gifted but he is 6 foot 3, still young and new to the English game. I dont know what people expect from him.

Well if there was that many agents involved then Im glad we didnt sign him, imagine the fees!!

I bow to your superior "knowledge" I doubt any agent associated with Ba would publicly say anything regarding his knee problem so I'm not sure thats a reliable sauce mates

Yes, lets not forget he is only just 24 and played in a poor league in Argentina. He is noticeably fitter now than he was 3 months ago, its not his fault he has been thrown in as our main striker

Unless in wrong, lcab said it was all about his wages, and we lost out. Nothing to do with his knees. See Louis Saha and his 60k a week

Stoke were worried about his knees but based on the fact they were paying 6million+ transfer fee.

Im taking xavis side on this one.

I'm not saying it wasnt about wages, as I said earlier his wage demands and signing on fee demand was huge and Everton wouldn't have signed him purely on that basis but they would also have not been able to get insurance for his knees either so it was a non-starter anyway. Thats enough from me on Demba Ba, Im going home

there must be another hardly known striker in europe that could come and do the same as ba has... we just dont have the scouts

Xavi won this argument on the last page, because HE suffixed his post with FACT (note the capital letters people - that makes it incontrovertible)

I truly have nothing to add other than Denis has already contributed more than Brett..

yeah he doesnt look to smart but hes already shown some intelligent play... ive seen one bad performance from him this season im not going to knock him and think we should sign him (only if he cheap though)

From the little I've seen, he looks about 3 stone overweight and no doubt in an ideal world he would have had the year vellios did for the club to get him fighting fit. The boy has done well being thrown in like that in all fairness and the criticism seems more out of frustration at the teams performance. If we're looking for a makeshift striker, why not throw billy on there? He definitely knows how to **** a ball, he hates tracking back and has a first touch as good as any other striker at the club. Just a thought...

I see where you're coming from but he wouldn't hold it up, wouldn't win in the air and is brushed off the ball with force less than last night's wind. Plus he's as slow as Titus Bramble trying to run away from the scene of the crime with his pants round his ankles.

It's a fact that he's scored more goals than our whole team has at Goodison , capital letters or not Gordon Brown
