Moyes was the perfect manager for Blue Bill..... whilst Bill was paying off loansharks he lumbered us with by selling the family silver -
moyes was there at 8pm with his trolley at asda waiting next to the man who was putting 5p yellow stickers on loaves of bread and salads so he could go back to goodison and make a meal.
Not many managers could have done the job moyes did for us.... that doesn't make moyes a great manager. He specialised in identifying players with good attitudes that he could work with. Those players more often than not were not in the specially selected aisle that cost a pretty penny.... they needed the opportunity, give him a talented but a more high maintenance player and he would struggle.
We needed moyes cos we were getting run into the ground by the imposters like Green that kenwright bought in.
Moyes never was and never will be a manager who could play progressive football, who could work with talented players. They needed to be willing yes men who would be prepared to play his hard working percentage football.
