2025/26 David Moyes

I've had a look at the second half of the season. From 19 League matches we got 23 points. These included vital away wins which saved us from a relegation battle.

However we lost five times at home, went out of the Cup with a whimper, and in the last 9 we won once, and earned just SIX points.

That, my friends is real relegation form.
Wouldn’t that put Everton on 46 points if applied to a full season?

Heady days mate.

Btw I think the emphasis was on the last 1/4 of the season or the demonstrable continual drop of attainment from the okay job of the first six months by Moyes. Love to see a few more graphs on it if I wasn't sick to death of the lack of ambition and the acquiescence of some happy clappy fans Azul x

Too, sick of them too dear friend.

Not the fans though - and I hate to blow cover here - the fans aren’t the problem, repeated failures of leadership on and off the park.

Will this time be different? We don’t know. Let’s enjoy summer as they’ve made their choice and it’s futility losing energy in here when nothing is likely to change until the next run of bad games.

It was actually 21 points but for the first bit of that, while we weren't playing well, the trend was very much upper mid table. Obviously the last seven games were awful, and if you want to say it was relegation form over those seven games then go for it. It is a bit like saying Bournemouth suffered relegation form midway through the season though, which is clearly a bit silly.

Home form, awful cup results, not really relevant. I'd just say it was bad to be honest.

Have you seen the forecast.

Give me sun, and I'm always happy.

...because we know the manager isnt capable of "seeing the game out" so should try something different. Last manager who seemed to be able to so was Ancelotti...I recall retaining possession at the end of games, weird concept.
We're going to sit in our own 6 yard box for the last 45 minutes and not press anyone and you will... probably not like it but it's the Moyes way!

Thats my worry with him people say he is a safe pair of hands but a couple of injuries (Grealish/ Braithwaite) and he was unable to adapt , he had no plan B.
What's mad is that is usually when Moyes is at his best. In his first spell he almost always wound up with the best team when injuries or suspensions happened then stuck with that. This time? It's his "trusted" players regardless of how anyone else plays. Just such a negative manager.
