2025/26 David Moyes

As we were skint for a great deal of his first stint, I always wondered what he could do with the financial backing we needed. I got that answer when he went to Man U! As such, I’m not sure he’s going to take us forward.
I can’t help but reminisce about how Ancelotti was able to virtually get instant results from the same cattle on the paddock. That’s not in Moyes’ bag of tricks. IMHO

Welcome? We’ve been mediocre for thirty odd years, we should be used to it.

Well he only signed 2 players for United, and both were decent.

Not sure what you mean with the second point as we improved massively and immediately when he got here.

Wouldn’t that put Everton on 46 points if applied to a full season?
...or just about 25 points based on the last 9/10.

I said the away wins were what kept us safe. But after that was secured we were absolutely disgraceful.
It was actually 21 points but for the first bit of that, while we weren't playing well, the trend was very much upper mid table. Obviously the last seven games were awful, and if you want to say it was relegation form over those seven games then go for it. It is a bit like saying Bournemouth suffered relegation form midway through the season though, which is clearly a bit silly.

Home form, awful cup results, not really relevant. I'd just say it was bad to be honest.
W. Chelsea Burnley Newcastle Fulham Villa Forest

D. Palace City Brentford Brighton Leeds

L. Spurs Sunderland West Ham RS Arsenal Man U Bournemouth Brentford

That's 23 points mate.

Counting from Forest as game 20 to game 28 Newcastle, we got 14 points.
From game 29 to 38 we got 9 points.

So, 9 from last 10 matches but flipping hell, 6 from the last 9 is disgraceful.

Ancelotti bought a whole new midfield

You've included the Forest win at the end of December and missed the draw with Wolves in early January.

Isn’t that literally what Moyes did last season? Got instant results from the same cattle on the paddock as Dyche?

The same Moyes that kicked up a fuss when City wanted Lescott?

He really did talk some nonsense when he joined Man Utd.

But then to be fair we should of as soon as he was announced as the new Man Utd manager towards the end of the season said Thanks Dave taken his company phone and put him on gardening leave no talking to the players, at least officially etc.

Yeah we should have sacked the guy as soon as we knew he was talking to Utd!
