2025/26 David Moyes

…or he’s just not been very good in all aspects of his game.

Is it Moyes or is it Dibling. 🤔

Football Association sources reveal how highly Dibling is regarded by England Under-21 coach Lee Carsley, who has made him a regular as they aim to retain the European Championship title they won in 2023. He is considered a key part of Carsley's plans, with both his talent and attitude greatly admired inside the set-up.

Former Southampton manager Russell Martin shared that view as he said: "When I was there I had to play it down a lot and not make things more difficult for him, but he is the most talented player I've ever worked with."

As Dibling has rarely gone past anyone (including lower league defenders on his debut) it's hardly a stretch.😉

"better to keep your mouth shut and them think you a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"

And, once again, why is this completely on Dibling and NOT the man who is paid 6million a season to get the best out of his players?

writing off a 19-year-old after limited minutes is harsh. His biggest strength at Southampton was ball-carrying, and a stop-start first season under Moyes doesn’t suddenly mean he can’t beat a man
Yeah but that doesn't fit @davids narrative of the egalitarian footballing genius that is David Moyes (that @davids doesn't even like that much despite 90% of his posts being rabid defences of Moyes and referring to everyone else as Moyes haters).

he ranked in the Premier League top 20 for attempted take-ons in 2024/25 and averaged around 2.15 successful dribbles per 90. Not bad at all for his age… out of all the criticism him not being able to beat a man is a mad 1

@davids can't take any criticism of Moyes at all so he takes it out on Dibling. I doubt he even means it, he just doesn't have any other retort. We haven't seen enough of Dibling at Everton to draw any conclusions about him at all but he looked like a quality youngster at Southampton in their year in the PL and every other manager that worked with him is full of praise.

Let’s not credit Russell Martin - probably the worst ever Prem manager as well as the worst SPL manager ever with knowing what he was talking about.

Dibling lacks the pace and confidence to be a top level winger. The latter can be worked on, but I’m still baffled by his signing.

2 goals and No assists in his year in the Prem with Southampton, so let’s not pretend he was pulling up trees.

However good Martin is or isn’t he was a professional footballer & is football manager of sorts so I would think his opinion should carry at lest the same weight as fans views on the internet. 😃

Fairly resigned to Moyes being here next season.

Hoping the flux at Fulham,Bournemouth, RS, Chelsea, spurs and Palace, combined with Moyes being in his 3rd window should mean a headstart if we land FB's and CF.

Presumably that's why he's on talk sport jolly scouting options.
