2025/26 David Moyes

Almost every one of these clubs have better squads and can offer European football. Milan is genuinely massive and Leverkusen were recently German champions.

People just want to skip the hard part of doing the work to improve and want to take shortcuts.
you're right other clubs might want to appoint actual good managers so we should keep our terrible manager because it'd be scary if we had to compete!

As a result of the team going into free fall at the end of the season, he`s backed himself into a real corner, with some of the fan base.

No matter what side of the fence you sit on, he needs to hit the ground running at the beginning of the season, as there`s a very real potential for things to to turn nasty very quickly for him.
Yep…..this is not the same Everton as he was at in his first spell

Yeah, Glasner and Conte aren’t going to be highly coveted and have better offers. And Ancelotti signed an extension with Brazil, so why would he be available? He’s clearly transitioned into international management.
Posts like this really just go to show that the only way you can be happy with the status quo right now is by viewing the club as undeserving of anything good.

Palace got Glasner in after he had just won the Europa league with Frankfurt. Palace also tried for Iraola and would have got him if not for this last minute pivot from RS. Palace being a club the fraction the size of Everton with a fraction of the budget. Now Palace have won two trophies in the last two years, simply because they weren't too afraid to ask the question and possibly be turned away.

We absolutely can get Glasner, same as we could have got Iraola if we hadn't spent the last month sitting on our hands with our thumb up our arse.

This mentality that you have is absolutely mind boggling to me and if I viewed Everton as you clearly do then I would genuinely just call it a day. Concerning thing is seemingly the CEO shares that mentality at which point there's a real possibility that the low expectations are manifested into reality.

Happily dissatisfied blew up in the way it did because its such a succinct articulation of this idea that we are where we belong and we should be happy about just existing in the PL. It's a self fulfilling prophecy.

Not likely to happen when he's running off for 6 weeks
Bet his daddy Ferguson would be figuring out how to tweak things all summer back in the day
