2025/26 David Moyes

I’d expect the time commitment to be much higher than a couple of hours every other day, I’d assume it won’t just be time he is on screen but research, briefings etc.

I think it shows a lack of commitment and professionalism to Everton myself. The only current other Premier league manager doing it is Brighton’s I think.
Nah, Moyes can teleport and does zero prep at all for media stuff. He's an unprofessional warlock.

Moyes is somehow one of the best paid managers in the league. Any hypothetical new manager we’d have will also be one of the highest paid. Money does talk.
If managers are just coming here for the money, I’d be concerned. Iraola and Glasner won’t touch us and whenever Moyes does leave in the future, we need to find the NEXT Iraola and Glasner as the ship has sailed on those two, they’re looking for the next step in their careers which isn’t here.

Hindsight once again.

The players gave up on him, so why would they suddenly pick up a great run of form if we kept with him.
You're blaming points lost because of Keane, the name means nothing, we lost points. you can't go backwards and remove him and add the points on.

You can't look now and use the fact the relegated teams would have saved us because you didn't know that than.

You are creating scenarios.
To be fair to @Saint Domingo he and I used to get into it about Dyche all the time. I was genuinely bricking it that Dyche would destroy us (it's kind of my thing was ginger managers) but he was always super confident Dyche would sort it out. I still think he was being insane but he's not applying any hindsight he was super confident in Dyche.

Was the Palace project appealing to Glasner? Was Iraola with Bournemouth?

Glasner went from EL Win with Frankfurt and won them 2 pots. Why would they not touch us?

Its not like Glasner wasn't a known name?

By the way, I don’t wholly disagree with you.

But, there surely is a window before the dogpile of inevitable offers they’re going to get (if not already) where we can position ourselves as very keen and appreciative of their achievements and style. Sweeten the pot by paying them what they deserve and maybe you’ll land them. We’re still a big club with interesting players to work with and apparently a lot of money to spend. They may like the challenge.

But we don’t even try, that the main issue isn’t it?

Both of them are looking for the next step in their careers and are voluntarily leaving their positions. The job they would be asked to do here is exactly the same as the one they’ve just done with Bournemouth and Palace, I think they’ll be looking for more than that.

Moyes will get us europe next season
Well, without getting into a debate about whether you're right or wrong, look at it this way - if he doesn't manage it, there's practically no argument in the world I think you could make as to why he should be staying here longer than the expiry of that contract he has (yes, there's a perfectly reasonable argument that he shouldn't even get that long before anyone jumps on me).

I've got no time for Moyes as a manager anymore (I do think he did a generally good job in his first stint for us and last season), but as a couple of others have said, I don't get the vitriol.

When I see that clip about the champions league I honestly think he means he feels like shaking as in he'd be excited about it, not that he's scared. Maybe I'm being too generous but that was my initial reading of it
He definitely did not mean he would be shaking with excitement. He spends the whole time shaking his head and blowing his cheeks out. He's a low expectations coward. Get him gone. I totally get the vitriol. David Moyes was, is, and always will be about David Moyes and nothing else.

I'm sure I'll get it in the neck for this but honestly, I just think some people to grow up a bit. It's only football, you can't seriously be telling me you hate him.

He's a dour, glass half empty kind of man so of course he downplays things. It's just the way he is but do you really think he doesn't want us to succeed. I'm sure he's desperate for us to be successful, he just can't do it and doesn't really know how.

I want him gone as much as the next person but there's no way he's one of the worst thing to happen to our club, we were going down the toilet before he took over. Yeah, he stayed too long and shouldn't have come back but he did great for us when he first came in.
I wanted Moyes, he did well last season and he gave some pride and self respect back to blues after Dyche. This season Moyes has destroyed his reputation with me. What’s more as the season went on, he kept getting worse. The PC's recently on top of the same defence repeatedly is a big two fingers to us.

Has been. Finished.
