2025/26 David Moyes

Can defend him on certain things but most of the things can’t agree with him on.

I think Moyes has realised just how big of a job this re-build is and he isn’t on the same wave length has the board. Kinnear and the board are clearly after a certain style and Moyes isn’t interested in it. In January they couldn’t even agree on the right back to sign. The board wanted Norton-Cuffy, Moyes wanted Holm. The fact they can’t agree on players or style of football to play has disaster written all over it. The board need to show some backbone and get rid if they aren’t agreeing on what players to sign. They need to get a manager in that’s going to play to there system and players they want to bring in.

For me, the talk of Europe this season was far too soon. The recruitment in the summer wasn’t great and didn’t get the additions we really wanted. Apart from Dewsbury-Hall and Grealish we ended up with players that were like 5th choice to sign. Losing 12 players last summer, moving stadiums, a new board, new squad and keeping majority of players that haven’t been good enough in recent seasons was always going to be hard. But Moyes with his poor in game management and flogging players to death is enough for me. Can’t keep doing it and expecting a happy fan base.

He’s lost the fans, always hard to come back from that, so it’s probably best they get rid and bring someone in who aligns with what they want.

Just watched his post match presser and now want to punch his kin head in.

Doesn't understand why the fans are frustrated after the last few weeks!?

Taking absolutely zero accountability for it!?

Blaming previous ref decisions for our attitude today!?

Should be happy we haven't been in a relegation scrap!?

Can't be spending £200 mil etc!?

Such a gas lighter, so sick of his sheet.

He wants out.

1. Having a pop at TFG a few days ago, questioning their ambition. He never did that with Kenwright. Think of the summers he literally had no money.

2. Those two last performances of the season were absolutely dog turd. After Sunderland he downplayed how bad it was, thought we were the better team. Even after today’s game, he wasn’t that scathing. Just not Moyes for me. He would have known the last 2 weeks wasn’t good enough, and he’s normally fairly honest.

3. Generally with Moyes, after last week, you would expect some sort of response. Today was arguably worse than the Sunderland game, just no effort or intensity, which is the minimum for any Moyes team.

4. Feels like an element of “sod you” with his team selections. Even his most staunch defenders were saying he should make changes today. Swapping Barry for Beto doesn’t really cut it. Very much the stubborn Moyes.

5. His comments after the game absolutely indicate he’s off for me. To come out same day he doesn’t understand why the fans are dissatisfied with the end of the season is absolutely tin eared. 3 points in 21?

That would have gone down like a led balloon with the ownership. Just acknowledging the disappointment, say I’m not satisfied either. There are one million things you could say. But being dismissive towards the supporters just won’t work. If he wants to be here next season, you don’t antagonise them. He could get away with it under Kenwright but not now.

For me, he knows he isn’t getting renewed, knows he won’t have total control of transfers, and wants the payout. It’s Dyche part 2.
