2025/26 David Moyes

We're going nowhere if TFG keep Moyes in situ next season. I'm trying to maintain some optimism that they won't for a few reasons, (especially if they only see us as a cash cow):

~His stubborn refusal to really go all-out for a European place by rotating his squad/changing up his tactics has probably cost us £millions in placement money, let alone the finanicial rewards which could have come from a Europa/Conference run.

~He's let millions of £'s worth of young talent rot on the bench without developing them AT ALL for future seasons.

~We are not an attractive proposition for any talented & ambitious player under Moyes, esp. young'uns.

~He's the 7th highest paid manager in the Prem and for that he's delivered 13th place and 0 cup runs. They're/we're getting served cava on a champagne budget.

Just 🙏 get him gone asap!

13 seasons he’s had in charge of our football club and he STILL doesn’t understand Evertonians. Get him gone tonight.
He will have told TFG that he knows Everton and Evertonians better than anyone (except our dear dear departed no1 fan chairman ofc bless his soul) alive and they will have looked at his time with the club, read some sychophantic puff pieces and believed him. They will believe that he is a better fit for Everton and Evertonian values than Ancelotti.
This is our reality once again. The new stadium was a nice little dream we thought would induce some positive change

Same
Need someone lined up already
Thing is we may end up sacking him mid season with no good options because we are a club that is incapable of learning from our mistakes

We've found ourselves in a terrible position again. I would say it's still highly likely Moyes takes us into the next season. If we start badly and he loses his job around October time because we're loitering around the relegation zone then it's likely another Dyche appointment to get us over the line.

I might be wrong but I think he's miffed he hasn't been offered an extension for 'being very good for 3/4 of the season'.

I think they've told him they're going to let his contract go into final year.

No idea how this plays out with transfers.

Mate im balls deep on iraola. If were not on the phone to him offering anything he wants then we know the owners arent bothered with this club.

We should constantly be looking at getting a better manager in if ones available
Definitely should be sounded out might not touch us with a bargepole but certainly at least ask the question

Because he was idolised during the Kenwright years and perhaps that remains the case with some supporters. Hes a snide.

Read again his comments when he first rejoined and then read back his comments the latter half of this season.

All he’s doing is simply what the club, some fans and media do, deflect and bring up worst case scenarios and situations, to simmer criticism and any sense of expectation.

When first came back his comments were the only time he never spoke about the club as if it was a lower league team
Moyes did well 2006/2007 to end of 2008/2009. After that he was pretty poor bar a few 1 off performances, he occasionally has. His bad habits, were occasionally exposed last season, but this season they are back in abundance.

You think there’s a magic money tree? We need to build in a sustainable fashion. You think people would realise that after the Moshiri disasters.
You never answered my question. Why does it take us so long to build anything other than mediocrity while other clubs, smaller clubs, do it faster?
Sticking with Moyes in the hope he is one of those very rare old dogs that can in fact learn new tricks looks like a recipe for more nothingness to me
