2025/26 David Moyes

Fair enough. But it was only a couple of months ago that we were dreaming of champions league. I don't think for me that if we then go on a bad run with a bad squad the manager needs changing. That's just me but totally understand the other point of view too. Personally I'd give him another year and see what happens. Maybe we'll get a right back and a half decent striker. I dunno
The spineless never changes
You can put the next Messi on the pitch and he can't recognize it. The old Moyes was far better than this one, at least more humble.

Just to remind everyone of the context of the Moyes bottle job.
Look where Sunderland are then.
*selects ironic / sarcastic font* 'how did they ever manage to do it with a young inexperienced Manager and 85% of the players never kicked a Premier League ball in their lives before this season'

Further more, add in or on the 6, 8, 10 pts we absolutely butchered / threw away in those 31 games
Then
Add in a further at least 6 or 8pts we gave up recently

The mind Boggles

Moyes out!

How many derbies has he won total over both spells? Is it 4?
Catch yourself on, success at Everton is no longer measured on derby wins. I am of the opinion that David Moyes’ race has been run but I don’t pretend that is because he can’t beat Liverpool on a regular basis, it is because he can’t beat mediocre teams on a regular basis. Our days of competing with our neighbours have long since gone, what used to be the most competitive derby in the world has been ruined by our descent into mediocre. Our right to play them twice a year is only because of the idiosyncrasies of the Premier League which is three leagues in one, the top 5 or 6 compete for the trophies, the next 8 compete to be safe and the rest compete not to be relegated. We have recently graduated from the bottom bit to the intermediate level. Liverpool have had a bad season, they have employed a poor manager and they qualify for the Champions League which we have had a good season with the messiah and we avoid a relegation battle. We are 3/4 years away from expecting derby wins and that is if we start making good decisions, like dismissing David Moyes. We have moved forward, but so had West Ham, we now choose if we go up or down.

His recent interviews, ahead and after the last 5-6 games, really makes we want him gone. Total capitulation to being a team desperate, only for survival. Ship him off imho.
