2025/26 David Moyes

Which is fair enough. It’s the nature of the sport. At the end of the day, we should have gathered more than enough data this season to have identified what we need to do to improve.

What I don’t agree with is that ripping up any strategy we had drawn up to bring in a new coaching staff after what was essentially a somewhat decent season with some highs and lows. Bringing someone new in at this time would cause chaos behind the scenes.
Any change will bring disruption. The way the contract position currently is we’d be making that change next season anyway. That’s not a reason to not make a change immediatelyif there are viable and potentially decent options out there now. What’s also more disruptive is making an enforced change during mid season, if he doesn’t perform next season. One things for sure….he will need to improve as expectations will increase.

Nah, I thought they were woeful once Leeds came back into it. Leeds should have actually won the game reasonably comfortably.

I'd say it was a pretty even game in terms of chances with Spurs dominating possession so wouldn't say they were abysmal. Got a feeling they'll take us apart next week. Then again looks like both teams will have nothing to play for given the West Ham score here.

When we had our first eleven available we were pushing for Europe. If we strengthen in the summer I think we get Europe next season.

At the end of the day, it’s the first European chase we’ve had in a long time, but we aren’t good enough at the moment.

Now, if Moyes thinks staying at the current level is acceptable then I would say he does deserve the sack. If he wants to make the team better next season then he deserves another season.
Res, non verba.( Facts, not speech)
He did what he did independent of his words. And was lame

We know the squad isn't great but his in game management/ subs are poor. He could of played O'brien centre half which means we can defend higher, meaning the midfield can push on with less ground to cover, he could of given George chances up top with his pace, Alcaraz should of had more chances, Aznou should have been given more minutes as a winger, Rohl should have played more since Villa. He's had some options but all too predictable. Today we ended up with that back 4 and Mcneil, laughable

Totally agree with you. The seems to be people in our fan base that think this squad is decent. It is poor across the park with some good players in there.

His in game management has always been very poor. The fact that he signed off on some of these players and hasn’t given them a sniff is very concerning. The fact he hasn’t given them a chance, people are rightfully questioning him and he should be answering why. Clearly he isn’t impressed with the attitude of some of them or doesn’t rate them.

I have a degree of sympathy. The recent form has in part been down to players making either awful mistakes or just poor decisions.

Today we had O'Brien give the ball away to concede and later on miss an absolute sitter.
Ndiaye has carried on his recent run of making the wrong decision or just plain fluffing his lines the majority of times when breaking with the ball.
We've got a centre half in Tarkowski whose alleged strengths are positioning and strength who gets left in no man's land and bullied one on one with alarming regularity.
Still no right back and our two centre forwards have some clear flaws in their game.

I can understand some criticism of the manager but I wouldn't put it all down to him. We've been creating opportunities to break but squandering them and conceding from repeated individual errors rather than something fundamentally wrong.

I don't think he's hit contract termination just yet but he'll need a strong start next season to justify his continued presence at an ambitious top flight side looking for a seat at the top table let alone any kind of extension.

One point better than a Dyche full season (adjusting for the points we got taken off us).

Worse points per game from last season after he took over.

failure to get one of NINE European places (might never happen again),

£100m+ spent on players, with about half of that barely seeing the pitch.

This isn’t progression.
There's a lot wrong with Moyes but the injuries to Grealish and Branthwaite haven't helped plus Barry and Dibling being well below the level you'd expect from their profiles hasn't helped either.
