2025/26 David Moyes

3 of our best players are Pickford, Branthwaite & Garner who were all signed as young players.

I'm not sure any of them would push for a move and see them as 'proper Everton players'.

Armstrong looks like and Aznou in his cameo along with Dibling (for Southampton ironically) 'proper Everton players' as well.

Ive obviously mentioned the likes of Archie Gray, Chris Rigg and suchlike as those young English players that I'd see as those we'd love to watch for the long term.

Thesedays, I'm not sure theres going to be a huge amount of movement from our 'elite' players to other clubs.

Are Chelsea looking for titles/cups?

Are United still a big pull over us?

Spurs arent looking too clever.

RS is always going to be a tough move.

Villa are 2 steps ahead of us in growth but i dont think players would follow Onana there.

Arsenal & City would be the 2 standouts.

I'm not sure theres that much to fear and the upside if we did get Europe is that Moyes in theory would use the youth in those games.
Yes Manchester United is still a bigger pull than us, don’t be silly.

And who's arsed about that while he is one of our best players and helping us win points.

I'd much rather watch him scoring goals and winning us matches than persist with a project player who is less consistent but allows us to cash in on a sale.
The point is to win with them before we have to sell them not to just sell them. KDH is better than the version of Eze that Palace signed but not the one that won them a trophy.

Ive just read the second part of this post and that is the most imaginative nonsense I've seen in some time.

You genuinely don't think players want to sign for Chelsea, United, Spurs, Villa or the RS over us?

There's no responding to that level of insanity.

Zat and Big Ig need an extended break from the internet.

But the thing is those players don't want to stay and are pushing for the exits.

If it was that easy there would be far more of these developing teams doing a Palace and winning a cup but the fact is it doesn't happen often for a reason.

What’s the alternative? How else are teams that can’t compete financially, and we cannot compete financially, pulling it off?

Doing what we are trying to do now. You don't put all your eggs in one basket.

You have some some to develop but you don't make it the focus of the entire team. The team is focused on winning matches and improving their reputation and standing globally which leads to us attracting and retaining better quality players.

What's your alternative? Become a farm team for Champions League teams and hope that lightning strikes in between them raiding all of our good young players and we win a trophy somehow?

Doesn't sound feasible to me. There's a reason there's been one Palace trophy win this decade. Go back a decade, a team outside of the top six has won the FA Cup twice. Do the same thing for the last 10 years of the League Cup and there's only Newcastle and their Saudi Millions last year.

Everyone moaning about us not winning trophies needs a reality check.

We already are a farm team for CL teams, just the type of farm you send players to when it’s time to put them out to pasture.

Sheffield Wednesday

Spend a few days reading up on this club, it could do you a world of good..
You think a club in administration is going to make me less adamant that we invest in younger players that can grow as assets and have less desire to see the team set up a sustainable model for conducting business both on and off the field? Yeah?

You really don't get it and you never will.
