2025/26 David Moyes

And what trophies have they won Ig?

Why would we want to be them?
Brighton have been to Wembley twice since we were there.

Again if a club that spent time playing in a town an hour away and then a decade at a temporary ground on an athletic track can do what Brighton do than what could a club with the history, prestige and support we have do with a similar level of competence in decision making?

So these clubs you want us to emulate haven't won anything either with their approach?

1st paragraph: I literally named City & Arsenal so im not sure why youre calling me out while underlining my point?

2nd paragraph: Im not sure why youre pushing a narrative of developing players to sell. Its not happened for years.

3rd paragraph: Again ive named players who i dont think see everton as a stepping stone

4th paragraph: Again ive said ALL SEASON Moyes needs to get Europe or develop players. Im not sure what here disagrees with your point?

It seems like youre agreeing with my points while having an alternative view that youre gaslighting me on?

Super confusing dude.
Zat if we focus only on developing young players and our results falter in the short term as a result then what happens?

When they're finally better than the other developing players we have they look to leave.

We will not keep our best players, young or old, unless we are achieving good league finishes.

These clubs are punching massively above their weight and I want Everton to punch above its weight. So yes. I think it’s worthwhile to learn from those who are overachieving. It will not look exactly the same.
West Ham punched above their weight, got into Europe and won a European trophy. Seems a pretty good path to follow. Especially as we should have a higher ceiling.

Sack him at the end of the season and the club will be a laughing stock.

Basically thinks results are okay given the spend & it depends which way Friedkins want to go:

* Faster progress buying experienced players like KDH & Grealish or
* invest & develop youth achieving a slower rate of success whilst also achieving incremental growth in the value of the assets (players)

Answer this question & you will have the answer.

Why would it be one or another? A serious football club does both.

Not good with multiple choice questions so i'll go with a blend of both.

Doing what we are trying to do now. You don't put all your eggs in one basket.

You have some some to develop but you don't make it the focus of the entire team. The team is focused on winning matches and improving their reputation and standing globally which leads to us attracting and retaining better quality players.

What's your alternative? Become a farm team for Champions League teams and hope that lightning strikes in between them raiding all of our good young players and we win a trophy somehow?

Doesn't sound feasible to me. There's a reason there's been one Palace trophy win this decade. Go back a decade, a team outside of the top six has won the FA Cup twice. Do the same thing for the last 10 years of the League Cup and there's only Newcastle and their Saudi Millions last year.

Everyone moaning about us not winning trophies needs a reality check.
Be nice not to go out the first weekend though....just sayin
