We finally win a home game against a dire Burnley side & all of a sudden he’s Ancelotti.

Yes, he’s better than Sean Dyche. Is that the bar we set now?

2-0 up against the poorest side to visit this season, one long range shot & he still doesn’t use his squad. Beto, Ndiaye, Gueye & McNeil had ran themselves into the ground. That’s when injuries happen. He’s got Harrison, George, Dibling, Rohl on the bench.

He’s come in for a 2nd time & given us some stability, but I hope our owners have higher aspirations.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum. COYB!!!!!!!

Currently higher in the table than where Ancelotti had us finish it should be noted.

Not much football to be played between now and the middle of April sadly. 11 days until Arsenal, then just a further game (Chelsea) between then and April 11 (Brentford).

Arsenal (a),
Chelsea (h),
Brentford (a),
Liverpool (h),
West Ham (a)
City (h)
Palace (a).

Pretty brutal run of games for Mr. Moyes to navigate. Brentford game is like a six-pointer as I think they could easily be 5+ points ahead of us by the time we face each other.

You have to expect we go to West Ham and Palace looking for the win though, and no reason why we cannot win both based off our away performances and results so far.

Really hope we don't revert back to type at home and lose those three while trying to achieve 0-0s, albeit against good opposition.

I hope this isn't where the season goes off the rails and we end up dropping back to 12th or something.
in september i think a lot of people had brentford down as a relegation candidate

they lost their best striker in Wissa to Newcastle
they lost their best winger in Mbeumo to Man Utd
they lost one of their best midfielders Norgaard to Arsenal
they sold their first choice goalkeeper to Bayer Leverkusen
they lost their highly rated manager at the time to Spurs
they appointed a manager to replace Thomas Frank who had zero managerial experience and who no one had really head of

fair play if they finish above us and get into Europe

He's showing what he is. One of the best mid-table managers but ultimately a mid-table manager. No shame in that and it's what we needed after the horror show of the previous few seasons.

He's done a lot of good things since he's came in like playing JOB (despite at RB), getting the best out of Garner, helping us bring in some good players that leave us with a good platform to push on as a club, and of course picking up points regularly and chipping away in the league to get us into contention for Europe.

He's also done a lot of bad and/or annoying things like chucking away a cup run with some really abject performances and he's been poor in his handling of Dibling, Rohl and Aznou in my opinion.

I don't really understand the McNeil situation either. He's out of contract soon and the club are very happy to sell him so although he has experience and I think he is/was a good squad player, I think we should really be focusing on George or Dibling instead who the club appear to want to invest in.

I would still prefer to shake hands at the end of the season and go for someone a tad more adventurous but if Moyes sticks on for another season then I'd feel safe knowing he's likely to bring home another season like this points wise.
He finished 4/5/6 with us with absolutely no financial backing?

I can’t recall ever seeing such a CRUSHING of a clique before on GOT ever. All the Moysettes needed was two wins a few days and they’ve absolutely ran the Moyes Outers clean off the site and hiding in the bushes. It’s an extraordinary slaughter.
