2025/26 David Moyes

I dont see any other reason for what is happening, especially games like tonight, in which we were very comfortable and those players should have got a run out

Kinnear has already stated that Moyes rejects 99% of players presented. The young players who we have signed are not getting a moment's game time, some like Rohl having played superbly the game previous. Aznou is completely frozen out, if he is here next season I will be very surprised. If a journalist dares to raise the subject they are given a one word answer. To me that all points to things not being all good behind the scenes. Moyes or the recruitment team will have to relinquish power at some point, and it will have to be the ownership group who decide that. Just my opinion but I dont think it is an impossibility
If you hire a specialist mechanic (manager) to tune your engine (team) and he says I need a screw driver - what the point in buying him a box of assorted hammers that just sit on the shelf (bench)

I was definitely a Moyes out in the summer guy.
See tonight, he was playing players in their right positions, sticking with a winning side.
Granted Burnley were crap but this is all I wanted.
Jake did well at RB last season, I'm ok with him there, Myko might not be the best going forward, but it's better to play him at LB rather than Branthwaite and including Keane.
Fair play to him for sticking with Gana through his Afcon hangover and for giving Dwight a chance
But I think it's fair to be critical of some of the daft decisions he made while also being complementary of what he got right.
I'm still wary of younger managers (not Parker) getting the better of him.

You say daft decision as if it's 100% factually correct. It actually just an opinion.

The Anti Moyes brigade are clueless.

Anyone who has watched football for 20 years knows David Moyes doesn't have agendas against players and is 100% about getting results if the likes of Dibling were good enough to start and help Everton win games they would be playing.

It's the Premier League not U21 football if you put development over results you're unemployed.

Fans can't see beyond this season, Dibling will be a good player going forward but the manager doesn't think he's ready yet and the manager is probably the best ever at turning a team who's been in the bottom 5 into a regular top half side and building a club from a mess into a stable PL club.

Not much football to be played between now and the middle of April sadly. 11 days until Arsenal, then just a further game (Chelsea) between then and April 11 (Brentford).

Arsenal (a),
Chelsea (h),
Brentford (a),
Liverpool (h),
West Ham (a)
City (h)
Palace (a).

Pretty brutal run of games for Mr. Moyes to navigate. Brentford game is like a six-pointer as I think they could easily be 5+ points ahead of us by the time we face each other.

You have to expect we go to West Ham and Palace looking for the win though, and no reason why we cannot win both based off our away performances and results so far.

Really hope we don't revert back to type at home and lose those three while trying to achieve 0-0s, albeit against good opposition.

I hope this isn't where the season goes off the rails and we end up dropping back to 12th or something.
