2025/26 David Moyes

Mate we went for Dibling after about 71 wingers had turned us down.

Well considering Rohl hasn’t had a minute since January I’m starting to think maybe he doesn’t adore his physicality that much.
71 wingers 😂. Dibling was on the radar early as were other wingers. Anyway he was 19 so hardly a panic buy as if coached right he's an asset for the future. Rohl was signed because we wanted depth in the squad and to allow Armstrong to go on loan. He's also young so like Dibling if coached right and staying injury free he can be an asset going forward. A panic signing to me is someone like an Adama Traore which West Ham bought

95% of deadline day signings are panic buys. Proper clubs don’t do their business on deadline day.

It’s cute that you have faith in our recruitment team I suppose. Not sure what it’s based on but I wish I had it.

Well the proof isn't now but in the future. If you buy players under 23 you need to judge them after more than 2 thirds of a season. Would help if the manager showed more faith in them too

I am going to start judging them on this summers window.

Granted we needed a clear out there, but having so many important people coming in to the club all at once was never ideal considering they were all starting a new job at once.

It’s clear what we need, and until the window closes it will be interesting to watch, but it would be unforgivable to go any further in to a season without signing the players we need. We had what 13 players on the books in the summer? So I do give them some slack on that.

My assertion was that trusting Moyes judgement on full backs isn't full proof as someone else tried to claim as by showing interest in KennyTete suggests Moyes isn't necessarily to be trusted on that front
Yeah, your assuming that it would definitely have been a bad signing though and there's no evidence for that. It's just pure conjecture on your part.

Conjecture of course as all opinions are. 19 appearances and no assists this season suggests he's bang average and not young enough to improve
Based on his performances in the 2025–26 season up to early March 2026Kenny Tete has been a regular and crucial component of Fulham’s defense, serving as their primary right-back.
Appearances and Minutes: Tete has appeared in 20 total games for Fulham this season (as of March 1, 2026), with 19 appearances in the Premier League, accumulating over 1,600 minutes of action.
Key Contribution: He has scored 1 Premier League goal, which was the winner in a 2-1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur on November 29.
Defensive Reliability: Known for his physical and robust style, he has contributed to 5 clean sheets in the league this season, boasting a high tackle success rate and 86% passing accuracy.
Injury Disruption: His season was interrupted by a hamstring injury in early January 2026, causing him to miss several matches. He returned to action in late February.
Impact: Reports indicate that when fit, Tete provides significant defensive stability, with the rest of the defense often performing better when he is on the pitch.

Based on Google AI I'd suggest he would have improved us significantly as he is actually a right back. Judging attacking contributions by assists alone is pretty dumb. We don't need him to assist, we just need him to be comfortable on the ball, capable of playing progressive passes and linking up with him winger. Coleman averaged about 1.5 assists per season for us in context.

Exactly right. Defensive and stable like O'Brien and Mykolenko. Not exactly someone who'd of improved us from an attacking point of view which we all agree is what we need at full back. Add in his injury proneness and age its hardly a glowing endorsement of Moyes preferences in the full back transfer market

You're not listening. Garner improves our attacking play when he plays right back because his passing and touch are better than JOB. It means we keep the ball better and the winger in front of him gets more of the ball. I don't Garner has a single assist or goal for us playing RB but he improves our attacking play. Tete would do the same. We don't need an attacking right back. We just need one who is reasonable in possession and capable of link up play.

You know Moyes signed two of our best ever fullbacks right? One for only £60k. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

How did Bournemouth “pump” us at home? Does that mean we pumped them away from home? Does it also mean we pumped every team we’ve beaten at home? Again, I don’t understand why people have to get really weird in this thread and start exaggerating to cartoonish proportions rather than properly critique the performance of the manager.
My bad…I meant Spurs😳.
And why is ‘pumped’ exaggerated? That’s exactly what we got by all three of them.
