What business? Who was available?Any time we win a game, i look at the table and think...if we actually did some business in January, we'd be pushing for 6th.

I was just wondering who we missed out on Mike as the poster made it seem simple to buy upgrades and that we didn't as some sort of self sabotageOh god not this again. People on here aren’t highly paid scouts working for a Premier League recruitment team. Those people should know about players that we don’t know about.

So says you. I,'d back Moyes' judgment over yours. No but Tete offers little and is 30 years old so would be a shocker of a signing
I'm not suggesting that I'm suggesting maybe there wasn't value for money and we decided not to panic buy which makes a refreshing change after the Moshiri eraWhat you’re suggesting is that there wasn’t a single full back in the world of football that was attainable and good enough to replace the jokers we currently have occupying the positions. That is far more far-fetched and unlikely a suggestion than what @kenada_blue was saying.
We wouldn’t pay entire recruitment and scouting teams huge sums of money if lads on a forum could pick out the best players across the globe to sign.

That's perfectly fine. I just don't think buying stop gap ageing ordinary footballers is the way forward but maybe I'm mistakenSo says you. I,'d back Moyes' judgment over yours.
They weren't panic buys, none of them were signed on a whimMate we panic bought about £100m worth of duds last summer despite being assured by yourself and many others that our recruitment team knew what they were doing and wouldn’t panic![]()

Well it may have won us a few more points this season and given us a platform to build on before we buy a more permanent long term solution. Short term signings sometimes make complete sense. That's perfectly fine. I just don't think buying stop gap ageing ordinary footballers is the way forward but maybe I'm mistaken
Well considering Dibling was a long drawn out negotiation I'd not be calling that a signing on a whim. Rohl is clearly a Moyes purchase as he has the physicality that Moyes adores in a playerWho decides what a “whim” is btw? Are you saying Merlin Rohl and Dibling were long term carefully considered targets? Because if so then that might be even more worrying.
Who knows? Tete is injury prone so maybe he'd of missed lots of games. All hypotheticalWell it may have won us a few more points this season and given us a platform to build on before we buy a more permanent long term solution. Short term signings sometimes make complete sense.

We wouldn’t pay entire recruitment and scouting teams huge salaries if lads on a forum could pick out the best players across the globe to sign. Just because our geniuses didn’t bring anyone in, doesn’t mean that NOBODY on the planet was possibly available.
