2025/26 David Moyes

Are you ok, Percy? That's a lot of words to still claim beating a bottom half team 1-0 away from home is a generational event.
45 mins and that’s the best you’ve got when you assimilated me saying Everton being the only team to ever beat UTD at OT with 10 men (under a manager you don’t rate) is outlandish as someone saying that Everton getting 4th is a better achievement than Leicester winning the league. Just admit defeat, this is pathetic an in honesty I was expecting much more

Ha ha, it may come as a surprise to you, Perce, but I do have other things to be getting on with. I replied to your rant as soon as I saw it.

Ha ha. I love that you tried to 8 Mile me by including one of your insane proclamations in your faux outraged response. You're right about one thing, your idiotic suggestion that beating a broken down Amorim-led Man Utd 1-0 away from home when they sat below us in the league table being our finest result in thirty years isn't as insane as saying us scraping fourth on fifty something points was better than Leicester winning the league. It was crazy, but it wasn't that crazy. So, apologies, I suppose.

For context, this was the broken down Amorim-led United’s form at the time.

It was you who offered to show an opinion of mine that was equal to someone saying Everton finishing 4th is better than Leicester winning league. Not me. You haven’t because you couldn’t.

I didn't say it was equal, in fact I said it was less insane but still crazy. I think I've been fairly clear.

Seriously, though, 8 is a weird number. Why not 5, or 10, or even 1. Why 8?
Because anything less would mean my opinion wasn’t as crazy as you saying it’s the same as someone saying that Everton getting 4th is better than Leicester winning league.

It’s not gone unnoticed that you were clearly gonna use my thoughts on OT away as a way to say my thoughts are equally unhinged as someone saying us getting 4th is better than Leicester winning league.

I say that as you’ve offered absolutely nothing despite acting like you had loads in your armoury.

Absolutely no surprise when you have the full backs and strikers we do.

I know everything is relative, but I’d like to see a manager who gets equally as woeful full backs and strikers to be creative and score. Going forward I think we have something between the 17th and 20th, on either side, full backs in the league and in terms of strikers it ain’t much better, on the pretence that most clubs start with 1 up top, I think we have the 15th-20th worst options.

Are there strikers or full backs in the league who you 100% wouldn’t swap for ours?
Heres the list of strikers I'd swap Barry for:

Haaland
Thiago
Ekitike
Isak
Sesko
Gyokeres
Pedro
Woltemade

That's maybe it? Who else? The likes of Welbeck, Jimenez are more players I'd swap Beto for - an older experienced pro to go alongside Barry. But of young strikers, literally none of the better players in the league cost less than 60m with the exception of Thiago, which is just some completely unreal Brentford recruitment.

The issue is really that Barry hasn't had that solid experienced pro to share minutes with because Beto has been so awful. Otherwise for 27.5m he's been fine.

My post may of been poorly worded, I meant I’d take pretty much any starting striker or full back in the league over what Moyes is currently working with.
