2025/26 David Moyes

Agree with coasting to the end of the season, but TFG should be sounding out their managerial choices now. The new manager should be ready to step in and take the reins after the last day if the season.
Not the usual Everton way of sacking a manager with a month left of the transfer window and then being unable to get target players because we don't have a plan in place.
I agree but of course we don’t know that isn’t happening behind the scenes.

Fingers crossed for some very early Summer movement.

Absolutely no surprise when you have the full backs and strikers we do.

I know everything is relative, but I’d like to see a manager who gets equally as woeful full backs and strikers to be creative and score. Going forward I think we have something between the 17th and 20th, on either side, full backs in the league and in terms of strikers it ain’t much better, on the pretence that most clubs start with 1 up top, I think we have the 15th-20th worst options.

Are there strikers or full backs in the league who you 100% wouldn’t swap for ours?

Do you remember when he started Arteta on the wing looked out place and then thrived, then moved centrally. He did something similar with Osman and Rice.

Playing right full has made Hake a better defender IMO also. It may not be optimal but I think k he knows what he’s doing with Armstrong.

If I’m honest mate I do t think we have a full back worthy of the name at the club..I’m open minded on anything at 5his stage - it’s pretty much ruined our season.
I'm thinking more of his midfield set ups and not playing Branthwaite and O'Brien together once Branthwaite was fit. People talk about Baines being groomed to take over but if he's standing mute while this happens it doesn't look good.

That chart shows its our whole forward play that isn't doing enough, the entire front 4 isn't producing enough. FB and another Striker might help but the way we go about our forward play just isn't good enough full stop. I certainly wouldn't swap Barry for Delap, I have seen a few detailed comparisons of the two and there is little difference, both of them just are not up to standard atm. Full backs are a weird one tbh, I think we will need to look abroad for a decent pair in all honesty

“Amorim-led” should I now check your thoughts on Moyes so I can use “Moyes-led” Everton winning away at Old Trafford for the 3rd time in 33 years and being the only team to EVER beat them there with 10-men.

For context, this was because you thought I’d said Everton getting 4th was better than what Leicester did in 15-16, I didn’t say that, but you were clearly going to assimilate that with me saying Everton winning away at UTD with 10 men was equally as “insane”

I apologise for going this hard on schooling you, but occasionally people need piping down.

I notice you actually didn’t have anything in your armoury other than the UTD game (which was nowhere near as crazy) so yes I do Eminem you in the final battle of 8-mile, now’s the time to drop the mic, but not in a positive sense of the term 👍👍
Are you ok, Percy? That's a lot of words to still claim beating a bottom half team 1-0 away from home is a generational event.

Doesn’t surprise me, Ndiaye hasn’t had a compete performance for months and Grealish, same as Ndiaye hasn’t had a full back to support him all season.

Ok, name 8 better away wins, allow for squad quality, opposition quality, number of player on the pitch and our record at said ground. We both know you can’t or won’t in good conscience name 8 better away wins.

What you gonna say Everton away at Anfield during covid when they’d lost their previous 5 at home?
Why 8? That's a very specific number.
