2025/26 David Moyes

No point getting to finals when his mentality kicks in and the game is done before a ball is even kicked, we have seen it many times in the PL against the sky 6. The West Ham thing was to be expected, ANY PL club in the Conference League should be winning it and especially one that had spent the money West Ham had.

Palace are favourites at the mo, and they're not so good.

We don't have the players. I'm not sure we have anyone who would be a good wing back week in week out
Well we don't have anyone who would be a good full back week in week out either, shall we rule out the possibility of playing a back 4 too? Surely whoever the manager is and whatever system they prefer to play, we have to work on the basis that we would be recruiting with that in mind?

Our home form should be the end of moyes, he's starting to move into the dyche tactical outlook on games, we look awful and honestly boring. I defy anyone to say they jumped out of there seat once last night, we are so predictable, and to the fans who were starting to have a jab at Grealish, realise he's head and shoulders above anything we have.

Yup, Safety first. It's better than ANOTHER relegation tinged season after all, seems to be the mantra.

Grealish was a gamble we ought not to have took. Just hints at lack of plan. The same money or less would've brought in TWO high quality FB's and we'd look drastically different to plodding up with 3 solid CBs, but none of which add pace or width to us (decent as they have been to 'buy in' to playing out of position, I'm sure it's not fun for them either).

So what's Moyes and TFG achieved in a season where Europe was on the table?

  • Rohl not playing
  • No FB's brought in
  • Adnan same
  • Patterson not playing can't cross
  • Harrison out of position (but shows potential).
  • Grealish too much money for what, a promising spell of about 7-8 weeks?
  • Tyrique - temp fix in the same hole that injured Grealish left, which a decent FB could help out
  • Dibling... please don't get me started
I've always spoken up for Moyes and our mid-table safety is better than the anguish of watching the descent that we were on.

I simply don't see any green shoots for the type of football that gets us close to Europe, or recruitment that hints at what that footballing plan is.

So if it's 'safety' for a bit - and I don't wish to taint what Moyes has achieved in delivering that quickly - keep him.

Not going to lie, I just don't like it as a system in the first place. I think it can be very easy to play against with the space in the channels unless you have a really talented and organised team.

Moyes is starting to become very much like Wile E. Coyote of football, who also is unable to recognize his errors and commits them constantly. Oh another acme product I'm sure it will aid my efforts in catching the road runner cue to the coyote falling down the cliff. "Oh Harrison Armstrong on the wing, Gana on the ball and KDH at ten with no discernable plan to attack other than to whip crosses in , that should work!" Only to fail once again

That's last season though, he has also played in an AFCON and is a year older now. Most teams also don't start a 36 year old week in week out. The blind man of Calcutta can see that his legs have gone its just Moyes and co that can't.
His legs haven't gone at all though.

He still gets around the pitch. He is in fantastic shape.

Ignore his age, could he not just be having a bad run of form?
