So it seems like Moyes was involved in the recruitment process beyond providing approval or a veto

I love the excuse for Moyes not beating Burnley and wolves was that there was ample injuries, then we get back most of our squad he doesn't even utilize them. It's been four matches since he's used Rohl and employed a largely lacklustre Gana who has appeared pretty fatigued same with Ndiaye

Apparently their strategy is more reliance on the sports analysis outfit and less scouting, so while no doubt those did ultimately go watch them, I’m not so sure there would have been that many prior scouting trips.
Moyes Mk1 was notorious for multiple scouting trips before pulling the trigger, don’t think he has the luxury of time now.

I meant more that he would have had a fair bit of research done on him before whoever went too watch him. My bad tbf should have made the post a clearer.

The thing is if you're sending your assistant to scout a player you like, your more than likely to get answer you want to hear.
