2025/26 David Moyes

Yes that Moyes is head of.
Moyes has said, kinnear has said it, journalists like Boyland had said it. It’s only you that doesn’t believe it
As of June 2025, Everton has overhauled its recruitment structure under new owners The Friedkin Group (TFG) and incoming CEO Angus Kinnear, transitioning from a single director of football to a "wider sporting leadership team".
Key personnel leading the new transfer and recruitment strategy include:
  • Nick Hammond (Head of Player Trading): Hammond, who previously worked as a transfer consultant at Leeds United and Newcastle United, has been appointed to lead player trading activity and negotiations.
  • James Smith (Director of Scouting and Recruitment): Rejoining from Manchester City (City Football Group) in September 2025, Smith will focus on scouting and recruitment.
  • Nick Cox (Technical Director): Joining from Manchester United to oversee academy, medical, and football operations.
  • Chris Howarth (Head of Football Strategy & Analytics): Appointed to oversee data-driven recruitment, with his consultancy Insight Sport acquired by TFG.
  • Angus Kinnear (CEO): Overseeing the entire structure, having moved from Leeds United.
  • David Moyes (Manager): Identified as an influential voice in the new, manager-focused, and committee-based recruitment structure.
  • Moyes would appear to be an "influential voice "
  • But hey if you are an ITK and you know he has the final say I bow to your vast knowledge.

Moyes said in a press conferences
He has the final say on transfers
So are you saying Moyes is lying ?

Not only him, still smell something fishy with it all.
Yes he's in charge of the signature, that doesn't mean the club haven't pushed for an age/profile.

They certainly will be in the next window..

Well I have said Iraola from the premier league , who apparently kinnear was keen on at Leeds. But there plenty of good managers across Europe. We’ve only ever appointed from
The premier league, bar smith and Moyes, but obviously both were British managers.
I wouldn’t mind us thinking outside the box for once, 2 names I’ve seen mentioned regarding who TFG like, Farioli and Fabregas
Ancelotti wasn't from the premier league. Yes he'd been at Chelsea, but that wasn't where he came to us from

Yes there was a rumour that TFG wouldn’t be sanctioning big money signings of players of a certain age. So maybe there’s be a balance on youth and experience. Will be interesting to see what happens this summer, if they don’t believe Moyes will be here past his contract. Surely they buy for a style to suit the type of manager they want moving forward

You saying the United players were playing for Almiron?

A team that finished below us last season.

Seriously.
