2025/26 David Moyes

Do you care what people say on a forum ?
If not, then i can't really see your issue..

You like Moyes, so do alot on here. And like in every other topic of the world, you will have people with different views.

That's called 'Life' mate..

No need to be disrespectful over a difference of Manager opinions
How was I disrespectful? By saying none match going fans opinions aren’t important compared to match going fans? I don’t see that as controversial.

This manager has been comfortably our best in the PL era. He’s also given us one of, if not, our greatest away wins in the last 30 years. If ever there were a thread that proves social media doesn’t reflect real life, it’s this one. Real genuine match going Everton fans would have zero time for the criticism he’s faced daily, they understand football. Those who live their match day’s through threads on this forum, dodgy streams and poor updates are irrelevant. May sound harsh, but if you don’t go the game, like me, then in the grand scheme of things you’re irrelevant and your opinion doesn’t matter. So suck it up.

I am not sure why this offends me.

Perhaps because if I lived in the UK I'd try to go to every game, but I'm not that lucky, I get to see a game or two a season live and the rest I watch from overseas. I started watching under Billy Bingham I think, I was too young to really know the manager TBH. I went when I could afford it and when I lived in London I took my life in my hands to go to the away games there (it was that period), been to Wembley a few times with us. All in all 50+ years of Everton. So I think I qualify to have an opinion about our team.
Frankly even if I didn't and was a Man U fan coming on to talk about Monday's game I'd welcome the diversity.

Anyway this is an Everton Forum and not a "forum for people who go the game only'. Perhaps Mr Plant , you should start your own thread or even your own site. I wouldn't see what you wrote of course, my loss??

It doesn’t matter when you started watching us, it’s about whether you go out of your way to go the game. It may seem harsh, but fact is, if I hear 3000 (or a majority of) singing Moyes name whilst we’re losing an away game and then come on here and see a load of cryarsing agenda driven “supporters” thinking he’s not doing well enough, then I’ll call it out, you’ll have to suck it up or explain why he’s not doing good enough and what “good enough” is to you.

Interesting viewpoint, so someone who has only the proximity and the cash for a ticket has a more relevant opinion than someone who has followed us every day for 50+ years.
Toh, and there are over 1600 pages on here discussing 'why he’s not doing good enough and what “good enough” is to you'

Thread 'Who is more relevant?' https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/who-is-more-relevant.123403/

The place to tackle this particular topic.

This is for Moyes.

Plenty of home going fans have booed Moyes this season

Think it was the recent Utd victory, great results, but as for performances, probably not in the top 10 of the last 30yrs

Lets be honest, it was a great back to the walls performance against a second rate United team under Almiron with 10 men.

Wouldn't class it in the top 50 performances from the last 10 years if I'm being honest. The away victory to Villa was much better.

Definitely
