2025/26 David Moyes

You obviously don't read my posts from before where I'm criticising Eddie Howe as being very ordinary. As for Ancelotti he's grossly overrated and again if you read my posts from before you'll know why I've come to that conclusion
sorry mate, not going over your old posts.
I dont think Ancelotti is overrated.
I think if he had been backed properly and not had his head turned by RM, he would have won something at Everton.
Even if you think he's over rated you cant argue at his ability to attract players no other Everton manager could.
All we needed to do was back him.

Nah not at all. They bought us at a (relative) bargain price because we were an absolute mess. Stabilise the position in the league, sort out the wage bill, increase revenue streams and you can sell for an easy profit. I'm not saying that's what TFG will do but it's certainly not unlikely.
I think it is unlikely. They aren't flipping the club unless it's for a massive profit.
They are not in this for a quick return.
I'm not saying that's good or bad but I can almost guarantee they'll still own the club in 10 years and if they dont, it'll be because we've done exceptionally well.

We had absolutely no money.

i think if we are to move to the next level , we need a more progressive manager , however we need players to get us there. He has stabalised the club , and my view is we keep him another year and see where we are then. But I think all depends on what players we can get in and what players depart. On that basis though , we need to get business done early. A bit of a condrum ain't it:coffee:

You may be right but we'll never know. To me he needs elite players as he's not a team builder and we need a team builder to help us grow season by season as we're not in the position to buy success so even if he was available for hire (he's not) he's completely the wrong fit and it would end similarly to last time when a more elite project presents itself to him. Its like Raikkonen when he was at Lotus and doing the business he soon went off to Ferrari as in his prime he was a top tier driver who needed a top tier team (apologies if you're not familiar with this analogy)

This was a strange season all round, I can't see it being quite as tight a race next year to get Europe. But are people really content with another season where we achieve nothing? What are the on the pitch signs we'll kick on?

Great shout mate, now that we have nothing to play for, jib the final day farce off on Sunday and enjoy life away from this sham version of the game we once loved.
Moyes can't provide us this.

I am.
I cant believe people would turn down Ancelotti.
How would Jordan have fared of Schumacher hadnt scarpered to Benetton after one race?
We dont need to spend the next 5 years on a rebuilding project. We need to win something.

Jordan would of fared just the same, they didn't have a champion budget. Similar to Ancelotti he wants to manage with elite players and despite the charm offensive about loving life in Formby he was never thinking that Everton was a long-term thing otherwise he would of integrated the likes of Gordon instead of ignoring him and leaving that to the RS manager we had to endure afterwards
