2025/26 David Moyes

Where do you live pal? Asia I believe. I live on the Herts/Essex border and have loads of friends who support West Ham. Also lots of Spurs and Arsenal. Gives a good perspective.

Certainly says a lot about you if this is true.

Ay but because that little West Ham central gimp wants him back that means the whole West Ham fanbase does..

If you actually read what real West Ham fans are saying, most agree that getting rid of Moyes wasn’t the problem, it was the choices they made to replace him. Once we move on from Moyes I have confidence in tfg to pick a replacement cos we haven’t got the dildo brothers and that Tory witch running our club.

I have had ONE West Ham fan (living in Essex) say that he loved Moyes and thought he'd do well for us when he returned last year. That chap is an absolute wet lettuce.

Every other WHU fan I know has said exactly what you stated above.

UTD have still won trophies. What about Sunderland Or sociedad
Not trying paint him as some kind of warlord, like anyone he has his faults..

But I was responding to a point about fans on managers..
No one is good enough in certain eyes, the only great managers are the ones you don't have..

Your grasping at straws. Are you seriously trying to argue that Dyche couldn't have done a better job if he'd of had £74 million to spend, let alone a positive spend of plus £120 million?
How many players did we lose for nothing? They needed replacing
The transfer spend can hardly be regarded as improving an already full squad

Besides 120mil is bang average spend these days. We think it's a lot because we've been counting pennies for a good few years

What has revenue got to do with anything? Are you actually trying to suggest that because our revenue is currently lower than west hams, Moyes is the best we can do for the foreseeable future?

I don't even want him sacked btw or to even go in the summer, he's more than earned the right to see his contract out. I say lets wait a year before we rush into extending his contract though - A lot of good but there's also a lot of bad i.e. watching us in our brand spanking new stadium has been a chore for most of the season
I would suggest that you shouldn't be dismissive of West Ham as a club given they have a bigger revenue than us and have won a trophy more recently than us. Bewildering sense of entitlement that holds us back.

Yes but obviously now our revenue is going to go up. It will be much higher than palace, Fulham and maybe West Ham. Though they have a big stadium and are in London, but I’m not sure how that works with the local council and the ground. I’d expect us to over take Villa, in the
Next couple of years, depending on Europe and champions league football
Really? Villa are the biggest club in the second biggest City in England. I'd be amazed if we over take them in terms of revenue.

To some of our fans he’s only managed 2 clubs, us and West Ham

And to some he has only ever done a bad job.

West Ham is brought up because it proved, outside of our bubble, that he is actually a decent manager. In fact, he more than proved that while with us, just without the trophy.

He, like every manager that has ever lived, has his faults. Some may be holding us back a bit, they may not be. However, to be where we are in such a short period of time means that he is doing a good job. If we can go back in time and change lineups, change tactics, etc., would we have won the games we didn't win, an impossibility to say.

We have progressed further than any of us realistically believed was going to happen. That is all the matters in the here and now.. Unless you polled every single fan of every club he managed then outliers such as the odd taxi driver here, the odd dad of a dog walker there, are pointless. I do actually have an example of at least 2 West Ham fans that liked Moyes, but again, it adds nothing to any debate on the job he is doing now.

The here and now he is doing a good job, if not a great job.

I agree wholeheartedly but there needs to be a push back against the MAGA types ridiculous fake news narrative. There are young impressionable minds on here.

Wasn’t that long ago, we both had the same shirt sponsor and we were getting paid more.
Maybe because we now have a bigger stadium and will make a lot more money than them. Kit deals won’t be miles different imo, but ground sponsorships should be a lot more in our favour.
