2025/26 David Moyes

Moyes has been vastly superior to Dyche , I think he's done adequately this season although his clear flaws are evident and will continue to hinder our growth. Contrary to others I believe we have a decent squad and the only reason there are deficiencies in certain positions such as fullbacks is down to Moyes not prioritizing those areas.
All spot on

What flaws are they? He got absolutely every last drop of potential out of us last time he managed us and we were banging our head against the Sky 4 glass ceiling every year. We are 8th. There isn't a manager in world football who would have achieved more with us this season.

Then i dont get the be careful what you wish for post.
If its just being called MAGA its just words lol.

I’ve seen countless posts like this, especially on X, though the “look at West Ham now” argument pops up on here too. There’s clearly a section of the fanbase that would happily see Moyes stay for another decade. But if recruitment under TFG is strong, there’s no reason Everton couldn’t move for a top-level manager when the time is right, and in my opinion, that moment shouldn’t be ruled out at the end of Moyes' contract just because Moyes is the safe option now.

If any manager. Not Moyes. Any manager had taken over and sat in a presser the day after dyche was sacked while the club was sitting in 17th and said im hoping in 12 months i can have the club a win away from being in the top 6 there isnt a single Everton fan who wouldnt have grabbed that. Thats where we are today.
That jump from perennial relegation scraps to fighting for a European scrap in 12 months is where im at. Even if i think the manager is stubborn.

I dont think 99% of fans are disappointed in the current position and chance to be 6th with a win & possibly 3pts off Chelsea in 5th (if they also lose).

The selection 2 games running (as highlighted by Michael Ball in the echo) made no sense and led to us being destroyed in both first halves. We could have been several goals down in both games.

Why would anyone put the same side out like that (Myko/Branth notwithstanding)?

Why have players not kept their place after a good performance? Why havent some being given a run but others have?

How is he using KDH as a 10 whenever he can shoehorn him there when he's looked elite as an 8?

Theres just so many questions. So many simple and basic things he could address which on the surface look like they make us a far suprerior side.

As ive said all season, if he gets europe then all these bizarre traits he has, the stubborness and poor development of young players kind of take a backseat.

Thats because we have fasttracked into europe where these players will all be able to develop even if hes not using them in the league. More money to spend, greater revenue streams and growth.

Will he win tonight and get us 6th though?

Bouremouth have Kroupi who can score from anywhere. They also have an 18 year old centre back and Rayan who is starting well.

3 players Moyes would never have given chances to so quickly.

What flaws are they? He got absolutely every last drop of potential out of us last time he managed us and we were banging our head against the Sky 4 glass ceiling every year. We are 8th. There isn't a manager in world football who would have achieved more with us this season.

So Moyes is the best manager in the world for Everton this season.

Why is the actual benefit of causing massive disruption when you have a happy squad and a bit of stability?

He played an 18 year old and 20 year old in his last game. Played Rooney and Vaughan at 16. Anichebe at 17. But, you'd sooner be lower in the table.
