Tbf, I was more than willing to take the rough with the smooth with him, as I knew it would be years until we had a striker who guaranteed that many goals.Remember back when we used to whinge about his first touch.
We never knew how good we had it.

I thought things were getting very stale after 2009 personally myself. We also bottled an FA cup semi final under Moyes against the poorest rs team since the 1950's.
They were in a slump. And, of course, they dont have our players.
We'll see what happens in a week or so time at Craven Cottage.
No, we can still win but we'll also see which manager is on the ball.Sounds very much like you’re hoping for an Everton loss here, mate.
No.Didnt you post something similar the other week when Everton visited Nottingham forest.

We're just going for an all centre back, back four.Frightening hearing his comments about "who says we'll break up the centre back partnership" (Tark, O'Brien), then immediately talking about how Keane is also back and available. Surely just bluffing!
Oh Keane is coming straight back in isn't he![]()
No cup of 1995Joe, bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning!

Maybe they were stale, but we couldn't quite break through that ceiling, and that is on Moyes and is one of his major flaws. This time around though, he is seemingly in it for the short term, so hopefully he gets us to the same 'stale' stage and we can successfully get somebody who can kick on, especially now there might be a bit more money around.
The Semi final, I would not put fully on Moyes. If I remember it rightly, we were in control until Distin had the brain fart. If that does not happen we win that game, in my opinion. It is maybe partly on him for not settling the team down again but it can't all be put on him.
Nobody says he is perfect, I am definitely on the side of more positives than negatives.
We spent absolutely nothing. Of course things went stale because we expected him to perform miracles on no budget. Moyes was arguably the least financially backed manager we had in the last 35 years.I thought things were getting very stale after 2009 personally myself. You could also say it was Amokachi that gave us that cup opportunity..Joe Royle 1 trophy David Moyes 0 trophies. That's not an opinion it's a fact.![]()
