Duncan's Donuts
Player Valuation: £2.5m
Was it just me or is he starting to look like the Emperor from Star Wars? Stick him in a black hooded cloak and I reckon you'd be pushed to tell the difference.
We need a Darth Vader...Was it just me or is he starting to look like the Emperor from Star Wars? Stick him in a black hooded cloak and I reckon you'd be pushed to tell the difference.
This may already be the case... it would certainly explain a lot.By the way if you think his handling of players like Aznou is bad now, just wait til he only has 9 months left on his deal and cares even less about the future of the squad
Everyone knew this period would be tough over the winter with the african nations and injuries.
Everyone.
Yet we hit a rough patch with a 1/4 strength team and the Moyes haters grasp it and double down on him
He was doing just fine until this player shortage crisis.
Yeah sack him and get on the merry go round again.
Who do you want in? Amorim? Frank? Potter? Howe? Unkown foreign genius?
Moyes did not take those jaw droppingly crap pens and did not have the players to impliment champions league like tactics today....or make meaningful subs.
But no...Moyes out. Yeah right.
Same as last time he was here.
He left then and we never recovered.
Dyche was burned out. He was toast the day we lost at home to Forest last December. His leaving was a relief at that point. Moyes had us safe in double-quick time. Allowing for the fact that the competent professionals were STILL not in situ come August (some only joined in September), you can see why they kept Moyes and allowed him to dictate the summer transfers. That's not going to be the case next summer - so hard to see why they would keep hold of Moyes. If they are not going to open the wallet this window, that's the third window of their tenure finished and the second where they spent nothing. So much for a rebuild... It could also mean they are keeping their powder dry for a new man in the summer.Am I wrong here?
Dýche 100% needed to go or we were doomed. Moyes was the safe option and surpassed my expectations with what he achieved.
I was/am always sceptical about him hanging around after this season insofar his brief was to stabilise us ready to handover to a new pair of hands.
Eternal pessimist I am thanks to supporting the club for an eternity but I'm sure we're safe for another year, in which case we can thank him and let him go.
And for those who will ask the names of those who will replace him, I just don't know, but there's someone out there.
I mean firstly you definitely wouldn’t I’m absolutely useless , a dead weight .
On my initial point I think that yesterday might be the first time I’ve ever messaged straight after a game before I’d got home and had time to ponder .
I’m not saying I’ve changed my mind yesterday was just so deflating . There is a young child in my extended family obsessed with football and despite his dad’s team I’ve tried to make Everton the choice . This week he had a chance to watch all 3 games , no all in person , and I think any Chance I had has gone . It’s draining and I’ll be honest not only was I upset at the culmination of results I was pretty angry .
Dyche had to go but we weren't doomed last season. The promoted teams were hopeless and couldn't win a game between them.
Moyes did a steady job, similar to Perreira at Wolves who came in to a worse position.
There is a decision to make in the summer. Moyes turns 64 next season before the end of his contract.
If there's an acceptance that next year is Moyes's last season then his authority is undermined in the dressing room which happened at West Ham. Otherwise it's a 'will he get a new contract' sideshow.
He was brought in to steady the transition from leaving one stadium for another and ensuring Premier League football. He's done that now.
I think his away performances have been good on the whole, but the football isn't good enough at home. He's not won many home games in the year he's been in charge and the football is dire bar individual quality of Ndiaye or Grealish at times.
By the way if you think his handling of players like Aznou is bad now, just wait til he only has 9 months left on his deal and cares even less about the future of the squad
Whichever way you look at it, Moyes is not the future for us. We have time now to prepare for the summer. We are told that we have a top notch team behind the scenes. We now need to see them at work. They need to find a young progressive manager, and provide him with some decent talented additions to the squad for him to work with. C'mon Everton, we can do this.
I don't think Moyes lost 3 home games in a week either, it just feels like it. We drew against Wolves. No, no manager, as far as I could see has lost three home games in a week. But, I've only reached 1993/4 !
No thats Darth Starmer…Was it just me or is he starting to look like the Emperor from Star Wars? Stick him in a black hooded cloak and I reckon you'd be pushed to tell the difference.
So I agree it’s not over if you agree traipsing out of the stadium in the cold it felt pretty much done .our home record not good enough
and needs to be better. we call all gage our opinions and rightly so
until summer we won’t know
so let’s get behind him and the team
as the seasons “not over”
