I'd like to finish off that article's closing paragraph.

"Comfort, who later played for Orient and Middlesbrough, became a vicar. He works in Walthamstow and is Leyton Orient's club chaplain. Daniels is General Director of Christians in Sport."

Should add onto that, "After a decade of managing Everton, Moyes is taking over the reigns at Manchester United. And Roy McDonough, well, he was last seen moving 'through the non-league ranks with Dagenham & Redbridge, Chelmsford, Canvey Island, Heybridge Swifts, Bishop's Stortford, Braintree Town and Harwich and Parkeston amongst others.'"

You are right Roy, these men truly should be more like you.

Weird.. i noticed this on sunday, I seen all 11 players bless themselves .. Point to heaven or touch grass coming onto field

I personally don't care if players are sacrificing live chickens in the dressing room before matches if they can do the job.

whatever works eh.

May the spirit of The Lord guide Everton FC to champions league football next year, investment and silver wear!

amen!

Why would the Independent run this article off the quote of some nobody journeyman nearly a decade ago?

Not even out the door and there's an agenda it seems.

That article makes me very cross.

Dear lord almighty, what has the world come to when people are being crucified on mere hearsay.

Is a McDonough a deep fried donut?

I'm not religious at all but that article does seem very disrespectful?
