LBC now listening is heartbreaking protective clothing for NHS staff is sadly lacking stokes of callers fetching tears to my eyes .."...it's so sad and pathetic that how they are getting let down by the ministers who are tellling us part truths ......

Just take a second to think.

The west have collapsed the economy and put populations under house arrest for a virus which WHO were absolutely useless on up until mid-Feb, and basing it on techniques which the only 'evidence' of it working comes from China, who are claiming to have less confirmed cases than Italy and just 1,000 more than Spain and a whole 60,000 less than the US, despite having an estimated population of 1.5 billion and being the outbreak of the spread (in a city of 11 million).

I genuinely can't get my head around it.
The numbers in China must be fake. Turns out China doesn't count people who are tested positive with no symptoms, that alone accounts for some 40k people. And two days ago, I read that now they have stopped testing completely in some cities and regions in China although there are still new cases every day. They don't get reported but you hear about them online from Chinese people living there.

The original source is HK news outlet but could be read from here too.

Germany was pretty good.

Germany ( and possibly Canada ? ) is pretty much the only major country in the West to have dealt with this sensibly.

The East took it seriously because both the governments, and more crucially, the populations already understood the risk from SARS ( and MERS ? ).

Spain, Italy, France, USA, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium have all, to greater or lesser extents, dealt with this poorly. If it was a World Cup year, Germany would be smashing it.

People like him are so much in a corner over how the politicians they voted for have crashed the coungtry they cxan only decitfully point at other nations to distract others.

It's 'kin pathetic.

We're being killed by the Johnson Government, and he's complaining about China.
Yeah agree to an extent to be honest. I listened to an interesting podcast talking about the history of pandemics if anyone is interested:
Specific comparisons with the Spanish (1918) flu are interesting and resonate. Particularly the speaker’s warnings about the way in which we name these pandemics. Worth a listen for anyone who thinks it’s a good idea to call this the ‘Chinese flu’ douchebags

It the constant headlines/issues like this that they are caught out lying about PPE and ventilators.

The deaths of more than 50 doctors from coronavirus in Italy must serve as an ‘urgent warning’ to the British government on personal protective equipment, according to the British Medical Association (BMA), the trade union for UK doctors.
The chair of the BMA, Dr Chaand Nagpaul, told Sky News this morning : “I’m getting messages from doctors still saying that there are shortages or they are having to ration equipment.”

If there was a press lobby in parliament worth speaking of they'd have been demanding details on resources like that - how many / when exactly they'll be deployed - instead they allow these BS merchants and criminals to parry any general question with talk of "ambition" to supply.

Thanks. I'll try and listen to that later.

This ain’t happening as it’ll just undo the good work we might have done. Large gatherings or not this will cause a second wave.

Until a vaccine is openly available life is just going to be a little bit more complicated for all.

There's a second wave coming whatever mate.

Keeping the country under lockdown until July won't stop that coming and is just going to collapse everything even more.

Most people will get this and be fine. A lot of people already have had it and won't know.

The key is tests first. The vaccine will come later.

Once we can get tests for antibodies - first out to NHS staff and then to the general public - it'll be a lot easier.

I cant really fault the Belgian response. Public gatherings have been out since the 13th and weve been on lockdown since the 18th. The first cased were folks who'd been on the traditional half term skiing holiday and its spread from there. There were 50% fewer cases yesterday than on Saturday so we'll see today what that means...

The worrying part for me is that you have a 25% mortality rate for hospitalised patients.

Happens to chickens, cows, pigs etc in this country and every other. Only difference is the value we place on certain animals. Not saying it’s right, just saying we do the same. Have to be careful where this goes. As some of the comments on Chinese eating habits come across as racist generalisations to be honest.
Hence why I said I was being hypocritical...

out and out lies mate......even the Chinese people have worked that one out......

I know mate and I know our governments surely know that too.

Yet they've still collapsed the economy and are putting populations under house arrest (initially due to a lack of action and now having to chase our tails).

Don't let the guilt flingers get to you mate. The minute you disagree, you're a racist. It's nonsense, it's a tactic to shut down debate.

We have a humane way of dispatching animals. It's not perfect. But we don't stack different animals on top of each other and then slaughter them in the most inhumane ways possible.

The practice has to stop and if it doesn't this won't be the last pandemic.

They eat dogs and cats. Apparently something called pangolians, maybe some kind of ant-eater. And believe if you torture the animal first is tastes better.

Yeah I'm checking out on that. But have it. I don't want our manufacturing anywhere near such medieval practices. And certainly don't think we should be held to ransom.

Pull out. Look for better alternatives.

The reason they boil the dogs alive and in some cases use a blow torch on them first ( yes whilst alive ) is that they believe that the adrenaline produced by their fear makes them taste better.

Pangolins are on the CITIES red list and are critically endangered.

This means any form of possession without a licence is a criminal offence.

Anyone who thinks this is anyway acceptable has got something seriously wrong with them.

You ever been in a slaughterhouse, chicken farm or even a farm? We certainly do stack animals on top of each other
