Ok so I get that . So she can’t sit on a bench and take a moment to contemplate her world our world . We have no idea of her situation or how she’s coping mentally or physically maybe she literally just needed a minute in the only outside space in her world . Literally a minute . Whilst two uniformed officers , who haven’t been tested by the way walked together a foot apart and approached her less that 6 feet

Construction workers though can get the tube in to work standing packed on a platform then cheek to Jowl on a train then go and work in the same conditions before sitting 6 to a table 5 inches apart in a chocca Canteen .

I’m respecting social distancing , I’m respecting instructions that out being given but I’m not really one to just swallow whatever the authorities say because they’re saying it . Sometimes a degree of common sense , should in my opinion prevail , if there are two people on the bench then fine feel free to intervene . It felt like a sledgehammer to crack a walnut personally , just my opinion.

I have two sisters living in Long Island
One is a pediatric nurse with loads of ICU experience
So far she is being kept in the Pediatric hospital with no confirmed cases and no visitors allowed
She says Trump has no idea what is heading Americas way

I get that and it's fascinating. But not relevant. When you say, in any given year. This pandemic isn't any given year. It's 2020. Are you subtlety comparing it to the flu? That's kinda staggering.

Quoting figures for all deaths at this time is disingenuous but you know that. We have a pandemic on our hands here. I have no idea why you are modeling for 600k worldwide deaths. If it's based on flu figures that is irresponsible.

The likelihood is, we are looking at a mortality rate worldwide in the millions.

We're past simple social distancing. I get what you're saying, but the country was given the order to stay at home, with few exceptions. We were given that order because the public proved we couldn't be trusted to use our own judgement for the collective benefit and kept gathering.

Its a great town for 9 months of the year,great bars restaurants and beaches
I could never stick the 3 months of winter though

The winters on Long Island aren’t that bad, visiting my in-laws in Canada in January is proper winter misery
