Why are we only reporting the coronavirus deaths that have consent from family?

Thry dont have to be named but for safety and transparency, they have to be included.

Trying to distort the figures?

Not sure you can argue the public needs to know the death rate for safety and security.

As long as the government and medical organisations are aware that’s what matters.

For all those too happy to put the boot into our government, consider that the number of total cases and deaths in this country is likely to be only a small fraction of virtually every other major economy in Europe - France, Spain, Germany, and Italy of course. Both in total and per captia we are likely to come out the other side far less impacted than these countries, and if you don't think our government deserves at least some credit in that regard then I don't really know what to say except that you have hopelessly allowed your idological hatred to cloud objective outcomes.

How do you know we have a smaller death rate?

Take Spain - looking at the charts, we were about 4-5 days behind Spain the the early stages of cases/deaths, but our curve has been flatter since then, which given the exponential function means that the total cases will be much lower.

No disrespect mate but the UK is probably at least 14 days behind Spain. And because the government arrived at the party late, the curve might be far more severe and delayed. But I hope you're right.

Are you trying to suggest that this denotes some form of political success? When only a matter of weeks ago when Madrid was on virtual lockdown, we allowed 3,000 Atletico fans to travel here and form part of a 50k crowd at a football match?

Inappropriate Language
People moaning about Charles having a test and that he's taking one test away from someone else, boils my pi$$ it really does.

90k have been tested in London, and there's outrage about a fella over 70 having a test, nevermind he's the future king of the country

3/4 of this country is inhabitated by fukwits, and the birth of social media has shown this.

Trying to distort the figures?

Is this true?

If so, explains yesterdays figures.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's an active attempt to distort the figures now for political reasons with a lockdown underway.

Because of a lower death toll today? That a computer model has said it may not be as bad?
You're down playing it, as if it's some lefty agenda to impinge your freedoms, and taunt your political party which has oversaw some horrific cuts in equipments and staffing.
Some southern trusts have their staff wearing bin-bags as they don't even have aprons, that's our lead who coordinates nationally with other hospitals telling me that.
What we see in London will be what we see here in less than a week, with ICUs full. What we see in spain will be here in a few weeks. I'm in a well-resourced district general and we dont have the masks to ride this out. Our job plan has changed to accept 30-40% of us will be off ill. Apologies if I'm grouchy and annoyed, but in my wifes hospital the Covid wards are already full, and I have two colleagues with Covid, one ok, and the other on a ventilator, whilst I've likely already had it with occy health refusing to test me at the time, and a recent xray to suggest I've been working through with a resultant pneumonia.
The worst for us in hospital is yet to come, sorry if it means generic working class woman from a wool place wants your load before you go anywhere- an arrangement I thought most would be happy with.

Take care, mate. You're doing an unforgiving job right now but keeping us all afloat - which doesn't go without recognition. Keep us updated with your own health as much as anything else.

Is that right can you link it? Cause that's great news.
It said that 90,000 had been tested for Covid-19 in London so far with 9,000 testing positive, that was on Sky News less than an hour ago.

Found this report on ITV...

People are scared and looking for answers mate. Many people have parents/grandparents over 70 and would love the government to show the same duty in taking care of their elder that they've shown to Prince Charles.

He's over 70, any people over 70 with symptoms will have priority, 90,000 already have had tests and people are moaning about Charlie being one of them.

Can you see the point I'm making?

Trying to distort the figures?

Exactly.

Last night on Newsnight finally a journalist, Emily Maitlis, did the job of holding the government to account. Nadhim Zahawi couldn't say when there will be 25 000 tests a day as proclaimed by Johnson 10 days ago. He claimed it's gone up from 5 000 10 days ago to 6 000 now 10 days = 1000 more a day. That will mean that it'll take 200 days for there to be 25 000 a day. Zahawi resorted to claiming Maitlis was 'sniping'. I bet she'll be reprimanded for giving a Tory minister a hard time on the Tory controlled BBC. How dare she, hold the government to account!!

It's been the same with ventilators. Hancock keeps claiming that the NHS has 12 000 when it has 8 000. Just because they may have ordered them doesn't mean they have them. It was claimed by Zahawi that they'd be in the NHS hands 'soon' but when pressed by Maitlis again he tried to deflect but couldn't confirm that 12 000 will be in use by the NHS next week, which is Hancock's claim.

We're now entering war time censorship and big Goebbels lies. As seen from not announcing how many people died from coronavirus yesterday from the normal slot of 1 pm. but not until 10pm. On Newsnight the political editor Nick Watt, 'deaths down, is of interest, but need to be careful not to read too much into it, because the department of health, as we speak, is changing the way it is releasing and compiling these figures, normally these figures would come out in the early afternoon, when I lasted looked they'd still not come out. And the reason for that is that it turns out that these figures may not actually be the deaths that have taken place over the last 24 hours, because the department of health, the NHS, needs to have the consent of the families of people who've died to release their figures. So the deaths may have taken place a few days ago. So it's not exactly a like for like figure every day'. What consent?

They've never asked for consent of those that have died from say a road accident or cancer so as to release figures. Not releasing figures and distorting them is part of the government's strategy of underplaying what is happening through deceit. Now that they've got parliament out of the way the government have a free reign to lie to their back teeth as they've done over tests, PPE and ventilators. And no doubt the MSM, and in particular the Tory controlled BBC - with last nights odd except and Piers Morgan odd exception, will all duly stand in line and march as one in protecting the government from too much flak.
