You're down playing it, as if it's some lefty agenda to impinge your freedoms, and taunt your political party which has oversaw some horrific cuts in equipments and staffing.
Some southern trusts have their staff wearing bin-bags as they don't even have aprons, that's our lead who coordinates nationally with other hospitals telling me that.
What we see in London will be what we see here in less than a week, with ICUs full. What we see in spain will be here in a few weeks. I'm in a well-resourced district general and we dont have the masks to ride this out. Our job plan has changed to accept 30-40% of us will be off ill. Apologies if I'm grouchy and annoyed, but in my wifes hospital the Covid wards are already full, and I have two colleagues with Covid, one ok, and the other on a ventilator, whilst I've likely already had it with occy health refusing to test me at the time, and a recent xray to suggest I've been working through with a resultant pneumonia.
The worst for us in hospital is yet to come, sorry if it means generic working class woman from a wool place wants your load before you go anywhere- an arrangement I thought most would be happy with.
