Come to New York. I live in an area with a lot of 2nd Amendment types. The lockdown has none of the sort of anarchy you might think ensue.

I said "interesting", not anarchy...one moron with an AR-15, who's being forcibly told he can't go to the grocery store after two or more (this is only the beginning) weeks stewing in his house, thinking this all a hoax, can take out a lot of people.

We're not even on a National lockdown, yet...

This guy is a right wing nutcase full of conspiracy theories.
All very QAnon

Is he? Ok, I'll take your word for it. The point to remember here, is it's important that all views are represented. Links are important to educate people. And then essentially decide for yourself.

Whether CEO's stated to flee, I don't know. But this is a fact. Some members of the senate started to offload their portfolios in January. What did they know that we don't?

Sling mud all you want but back it up. We can have an informed discussion here without dismissing posts you don't agree with. Cause honestly that's the actions of a nutcase.

He certainly ramped up the lying on Newsnight. It will take 200 days for there to be 25 000 tests a day from the 5 000 Johnson said was happening 10 days ago. Incredibly poor from Nadhim Zahawi and then had the audacity to complain that Maitlin was 'sniping', unbelievable.

Intelligence agencies have given fair warning since at least mid January. If testing kits weren't ordered that isn't incompetence, it's policy.

A supreme optimist you are mate. In NZ we're in full lockdown till April 25, and currently we've had less than 300 cases nationwide. Personally I don't expect anything close to a normal life until late May at the earliest.

Agreed. Considering that it's estimated that 23 days could be the figure it stays in your body. The numbers we are seeing now, this only the beginning. We'll have a clearer picture mid April and that's if we are testing.

Have a read of twitter mate and folk actually stating the death toll today isn't correct and there is some big conspiracy afoot by the Tories.

Sadly this whole pandemic has shown that the loud mouths on social media have the ability in putting unnecessary pressure on the government and their decision making via their voices amplified by a media happy to stir the pot to make a quick buck.

If everyone piped down and let the experts get on with things we would be better for it.

However, fine when said medias are putting the boot into Milliband or Corbyn etc. Be careful what you wish for.

And with 80 seat majority the Tories still cannot manage the country.

'Get Pandemic done', does not have quite the same ring...

How bad does this lot have to be before the penny drops?

Part of the lackadaisical, jovial bonhomie 'let it run its course;, 'take it on the chin', 'you'll lose loved one', herd mentality policy. And they still let people into the country without testing and isolating them.

If one person or a select few people post all the links then they're making or trying g to make the decisions for the rest of us.

We can have an informed discussion when referencing non biased or recognising bias in our sources.

Simply slinging endless amounts of links to stories from vague and questionable sources doesnt add an ounce of sense to the situation at hand.

History will judge these policy decisions. At the moment it appears catastrophic mistakes were made. It's been a perfect storm of incompetent leaders faced with a dire threat who then failed the people they were sworn to protect.

It's to early to make that call but the signs don't look good.

I post links that I believe maybe be relevant. At the most 3-4 times in 24 hrs. I don't consider that endless or confusing. You're more than welcome to question the sources and come back to me with your findings. I'd sincerely read that.
