I agree with him tbh. Definitely expect us in the UK to be back in the office by mid-April
No chance.

History will judge these policy decisions. At the moment it appears catastrophic mistakes were made. It's been a perfect storm of incompetent leaders faced with a dire threat who then failed the people they were sworn to protect.
It's to early to make that call but the signs don't look good.

It's not so much me as I personally wouldn't go looking for hard news on a football fans forum but some people probably are influenced by what they read here, particularly by striking headlines using or manipulating figures.I post links that I believe maybe be relevant. At the most 3-4 times in 24 hrs. I don't consider that endless or confusing. You're more than welcome to question the sources and come back to me with your findings. I'd sincerely read that.
The biggest question that need to be answered is by those in charge of our borders:
Why weren't flights originating from China stopped in early January.
Why weren't flights originating from the ROW stopped last month.
Why did our Border Agency fail us so badly? Why didn't they adopt the same policy as Taiwan for example, which states that those coming from at-risk areas must give their mobile phone number, we could have expanded on that to make it mandatory for a persons home address to be given and confirmed on entry, whereby they would stay isolated for 14 days.
Unlike a lot of people on here I am not one to have a go at you incessantly. However, it is disappointing that you think that it's OK for people to be so concerned about this that they are allowed to pay a large price to get checked because they have a lot of money but are not allowed to worry about feeding their families.

like you said before, as soon as there’s a reportable incident of a possible pandemic my first process would to be close the borders, or at least of very stringent quarantine plans in place

The priority was the economy, not public health
