I bought 4 tins of fruit cocktail, cracked one open last night and the kids said ergggh what's that? Let them have a try, came back today from work and they are all gone. Loads of fresh fruit in and they have done my stash of long last stuff! My mistake.

People need to leave home to get stuff. They need to leave home to care for others (my nan is beside herself in confusion atm and it's bad enough the only person that can go and see her is my mum). And people need to get out and exercise (even the simplicity of walking a dog - not everyone has the luxury of a big enough garden for a dog to roam around in).

It's bad enough that this has to happen in the first place.

I've just got the mental image of somebody watching Johnson's speech and then getting really angry that they've been told they can still leave the house to go on a walk.

I know mate. I was just saying to the poster in question what more stringent measures did he want to be taken? Because after this all that's left is house arrest, pretty much.

I don't know why people want that.

These measures are now in place for at least three weeks. The best we can hope for is people follow them and they stay in place and no more stringent ones are applied. And hopefully, in 3 weeks' time, we've seen the worst of it in terms of the illness.

We seem to be going off Italy. Hopefully, they are now starting to go down in terms of deaths. They've been in lockdown for two weeks. They are now in two successive days of lower death rates. Let's just hope we can match that or ideally do better.

My lad who does nothing usually is now at home and made his own lunch out of my stash of super noodles ! The nice ones as well, not them snide Curry ones I had planned on giving him in a few weeks.
