Bingo smirking his way through being questioned about his lockdown party is just peak trolling.

Like I have said previously, I feel so sorry and angry for any people who couldn't get into see dying relatives or help elderly relatives, go to funerals or loved ones or even see their kids or grandkids properly just because they have a moral compass, they listened and obeyed all the rules and restrictions handed out by this tinpot dictator and his good for nothing cabinet/party and also his mealy mouthed, paid shill, science and medical advisors, who are all to blame for this disgrace.

Why did we have to have any restrictions, if the virus is so terryfying, scary and transmissible that these subhumans can throw numerous parties and gatherings, mixing with strangers and flaunting the rules that THEY have imposed on the nation and us all?

How people are still listening to bongo, whitty, Van Tam or any of the charlatans peddling this garbage and this entire farce is beyond me.

Anyone still believe bongo and the Tories are doing a good job running the country and in regards to covid?!

Bet there are still some, and it wouldn't surprise me to see these clowns win another 4 years in power at the next election, with how easy it has been for him/them to manipulate the sheeples.

We are not on lockdown at the moment. Facemasks, evidence of vaccination required before entering any pub or restaurant. I think we are heading for a return to lockdown. The numbers are frightening.

Id be surprised with a full lock down myself mate, this will be the worst of it now and some hopeful signs today we may have seen a peak - though its just todays data and you'd want to see it for a few more days.

It would be impossible to police another lockdown now and the Government know it, I’d guess at least half of the country would ignore it, this Government has lost the authority to be obeyed, after the way they’ve broken the rules themselves. The police would be so overwhelmed with the amount of people out and about that they wouldn’t be able to enforce it. The whole thing would likely fall apart within a week

Cases are large, hospital admissions are not, relative to any winter ever. Politicians are enjoying their power imo. Witness Sturgeon. Boxing day shut stadiums, not more than 2 weeks later reopened them. That makes absolutely zero sense. And had/has zero impact imo.

I've been getting random chest pain/tightness on my left side and my heart rate has been spiking a bit when exercising over the last week. Yesterday I was just in the changing rooms after a very steady swim and it spiked up to 170 on my garmin, I actually felt feint (for reference my resting varies from 50-53 on average and when I do a steady swim it's at about 90. It felt similar to after my 2nd jab back in September/October. Managed to get through to the docs and went through clearly how I felt and why it was abnormal.

Her answer: "Your heart rate does spike when exercising, if it persists for a month then go to A&E"

I know they're stretched so I'm not having a go and I was surprised I got through so quickly (I rang this morning and they called me back at 6). I just, dunno, don't feel like what she said was any help at all. I'm not thick, I know heart rate spikes while exercising.

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this after COVID recently? Like I said, it's similar to how I felt for a month or so after my 2nd jab but I didn't have the chest pain then, more just the heart rate spikes while exercising as I lost a lot of fitness. I don't feel unfit, though, like I feel pretty well, it just randomly shoots up and I'm pretty sure it's not my garmin as it's doing the same on my heart rate monitor as well.

Some changes coiming in for Ireland

  • Boosted close contacts who have no symptoms will not have to isolate/restrict movements

  • Isolating after a positive PCR now down to 7 days from 10

  • No need to get a PCR if you have a positive antigen test result

Positive steps, the wind down is taking shape, next thing will be PCR tests only for people with symptoms.
Hopefully back to normal life sometime this year, I'd expect masks to be around for a bit longer probably until spring 2023.

It'd be quicker if theybit the bullet on HEPA filters and filtration for schools and hospitality industries

I would go down this route mate, just say you’ve had it for a month and get booked in for an ECG. You can’t be too careful with the ticker.

Yeah I agree with this and if you have to maybe even look into a private option if you're able to

There’s a lot of stuff online, written by cardiologists and pulmonologists, who are also runners, who’ve written about their own experiences and how they dealt with it - mainly in the States.

If you have a hunt around on the running forums, you’ll find stuff there that may help.
