Scotland reopening stadiums etc from Monday 17th. Indoor events reopening on the 24th.

Interesting points on the BBC article:

But the latest Scottish government Covid report showed that average daily cases in Scotland (2,824 per one million population in the week to 6 January) were higher than in England (2,615 per one million), which has fewer Covid restrictions.
Some business leaders said that the tougher coronavirus rules had failed to make a "meaningful difference" to infection levels and were causing "enormous damage" to some sectors.

This thing is not going away anytime soon. I am seriously concerned that it has already killed over 5m people and there are idiots, including so called political leaders who think it is ok to ignore all restrictions.

There will be more variations of this that will not be stopped by current vaccinations. No I am not a sensationalist but a realist. If people cannot stop acting the Muppet after so many have died then God help us.

Many political leaders all over the world, who are far more informed on this matter than any of us, haven't really taken it seriously at any point.

Boris Johnson was apparently "fighting for his life" in ICU in late April. But attended a party with >40 people 2 weeks later.

Does that stack up to you?

Obviously the answer is to do some damage to more sectors...

Johnson is a very poor choice of PM. His background seems to make him think he has a birthright to power. I repeat that if our Taoiseach had behaved as he did he would be out on his......guess what.

Has any news come out from Wales, NI and Republic of Ireland on when their lockdowns will end?
We are not on lockdown at the moment. Facemasks, evidence of vaccination required before entering any pub or restaurant. I think we are heading for a return to lockdown. The numbers are frightening.
