But it might kill someone else…..
I don’t understand what point you’re making here.

I still think it's all about the strain on the health service. Fingers crossed the boom in cases doesn't lead to a boom in admissions.yeah I agree
then again they're locking down across Europe with high vaccination rates too...
Not being conspiracy or anything, just - governments don't know what else to do it seems.
well I don't think he meant it like that tbfAmazing isn‘t it. Not arsed if it’s someone else’s family but deeply concerned when closer to home…..
yeah I agree mate, every adult/young adult should get it who is eligible imoI still think it's all about the strain on the health service. Fingers crossed the boom in cases doesn't lead to a boom in admissions.
Get jabbed and you're less likely to be admitted. That should be enough of an incentive. I'd hate to be in a hospital at the moment.

Of course not, you are selfish……
And you are a fascist. Goodnight Pete.

I admittedly haven’t read all the posts in this back and forth but if I caught the start correctly, you’re opposed to getting the vaccine. Actually curious why that is. You think it’s segregation if unvaccinated people aren’t permitted to go to certain places, yet you’re ok getting a vaccine to travel to a country that requires one because you wanted to go there. You don’t want to be excluded from going anywhere because it’s fascist, yet the whole lockdown thing even being considered is largely because of the unvaccinated population which essentially excludes everyone from doing anything. Honestly, I respect your right to choose not to get a vaccine, but I have no issue if it’s a pre req to enjoy some of the privileges of society given if everyone just got the vax we wouldn’t have to worry about situations where no one got to enjoy them. At this point unless you have a legitimate medical or religious reason to not be vaccinated, with all science to now back them up, I do find your stance here somewhat selfish and self serving. Some people just aren’t likely to be admitted from covid at all. Some people are more likely to be admitted from side effects of the vaccine than covid itself.

Erm, considering one of the biggest issues that leads to lockdowns and restrictions is the strain on the healthcare system, and vaccination drastically reduces the rate of admissions (17x), yea it would largely reduce any likelihood of lockdown. Would it eradicate the disease? No. Would it solve our biggest issues? It sure would help and it’s ridiculous to say it wouldn’t.Erm, no it isn’t?
You are living in an absolute fantasy world if you think 100% of the population being vaccinated would stop lockdowns and restrictions.
It’s just like the people who fail to understand that freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from the consequences of that speech. You don’t get to just go around spouting off racial slurs in public and expect there not to be some ramifications.I admittedly haven’t read all the posts in this back and forth but if I caught the start correctly, you’re opposed to getting the vaccine. History is full of examples of authoritarian tactics that would never otherwise be tolerated being employed during pandemics. Incoming ships were quarantined for forty days in the run up to the last bubonic plague outbreak in England, for all the good it ultimately did.You are espousing fascist views Pete. History never looks back kindly on that type.
