…and I agree with your last paragraph. I have said many times that we are being frightened. BUT the unvaccinated carry an additional risk that the vaccinated don’t ……
I agree mate. I don't think it makes them second-class citizens or the biggest problem. It is part of the wider issue for me.

But surely, that is their choice. You can't force somebidy to have a medical procedure.
This is where we have to crack on and get.ln with life. You make your choice. The chips.land.wjere they land for.you and your health. We shouldn't be scaring people and.lockomg.people.down, because some have decided for whatever reason they are not having the jab.
People I work with are adamant they are not getting jabbed. Willing to lose their jobs.over it. Some people just can't be convinced they should get it.
Said it before and will say it again.
Let's crack on. People have made their choice. Let them deal with it. The government from the start has done most things wrong, and any.mkre.locmdowns.in.my view will be another wrong turn.

It's like the elite athletes.

Yeah, looks like PL is finally getting a grip of it but it definitely has been a push.

Elite athletes know they have a better chance than most people of being absolutely fine if they have COVID. But obviously on the flip side there's that issue that if they get it their performance could be severely effected by long-term impacts (see Godfrey, who we don't know is vaccinated or not - but going off when his age range would have been available for the doses, he could have only have had one dose by the time he caught covid in August, as he's only 23/24.)

However, there's also concern over the vaccine. How does that impact elite performance? Can that have a negative impact on fitness?

Each person assesses risk differently. Most would see that it's better to have as much protection as possible, but some think there's risks that aren't worth taking and the only people that would be able to change their mind are family or medical professionals probably.

Others are just conspiracy nutters like.

Of course. You make your choice. Unvaccinated have made a choice, I have made mine, you are not allowed in…..

Under 18’s cannot drink in pubs. Over 70’s have to renew their driving licences every 3 years. Drunks will not be served in pubs. Fascism is Auschwitz, not being kept out of a place because you are an arsehole….

Sorry are under 18s banned from pubs and over 70s banned from driving? It’s not even remotely the same thing. Segregation is fascism.

as a private landlord he can probably keep out people for being unvaccinated or not showing proof of a negative test tbf

Like, if that's a safety measure he wishes to add in then he has a right to do it. It's only like going a gig.

I'm not sure if Pete is exclusively referring to vaccine only passes, mind.

Out of interest, and obviously you don't have to say, but are you vaccinated?

Like I just assumed you were, but that you were really against the idea of COVID passes etc (which I do totally get)

I think the point being missed is that a couple of hospitals declared last week that 80%+ of covid admissions were unvaccinated.
If hospital admissions were significantly lower, then there would be no talk about lockdowns.
Tbf they were low all summer and there was talk of lockdowns as soon as we got out of the last one
