Out of interest, have you ever had vaccinations to travel (apart from covid)?

Yeah, looks like PL is finally getting a grip of it but it definitely has been a push.

Elite athletes know they have a better chance than most people of being absolutely fine if they have COVID. But obviously on the flip side there's that issue that if they get it their performance could be severely effected by long-term impacts (see Godfrey, who we don't know is vaccinated or not - but going off when his age range would have been available for the doses, he could have only have had one dose by the time he caught covid in August, as he's only 23/24.)

However, there's also concern over the vaccine. How does that impact elite performance? Can that have a negative impact on fitness?

Each person assesses risk differently. Most would see that it's better to have as much protection as possible, but some think there's risks that aren't worth taking and the only people that would be able to change their mind are family or medical professionals probably.

Others are just conspiracy nutters like.

Probably not phrased the best as there is always talk of lockdowns. The media makes certain of that.
Just saying that hospitalisations is one of the main metrics and if they were half what they are now, lockdowns would be far less likely.

tbf they could have snuck them in as one of his daily roid injections and he wouldn't know the difference

As an aside, I remember Lukaku got asked about it when he signed for Chelsea, and he said yes he'd got both doses, but that the main reason he did it was because of his family. I'm paraphrasing but he basically said that he wasn't worried about catching it himself (which ironically, he now has done) but that he got the vaccine because of vulnerable people in his family. Which is fine and obviously right, but also suggested that if those vulnerable people weren't in his family, he probably wouldn't have got it.

He doesn’t care if an unvaccinated person has shown proof of a negative test, he wants the filthy unvaccinated shut out of society. Doesn’t matter if they’re perfectly healthy and have proven they don’t have covid.

I think they do know what to do..it's just too big a call to do it.
Get on with life.
Then reform healthcare, prioritise and promote health, pay proper wages.to attract and keep staff on health care, etc.
But that doesn't appeal to Brad and Ange in the burbs.
The media would ensure that was political suicide. Government causes death.
Nevermind the deaths from canceled procedures,.suicide, kid abusers going under.the radar,.mental health suffering etc.
For some stupid reason, the media around the world are controlling the government's.
