You don't think this is a time to hold our leaders to account?

Of course it is but first and foremost people have to stop screaming and shouting at each other - on both sides.

Twitter is full of people bossing people about. They love it too. They love been able to be put into a little box and then order other people to be put into a box.

It's funny a lot on the left now saying we need to do all we can to protect old people (rightly) from this are the ones who, for example, said old people shouldn't get a vote during the Brexit fiasco of the last three years (three years completely wasted when you put it into the perspective of what we have to deal with now, ey?).

The right are, well, the right. 'Nuff said.

People were criticising Johnson yesterday for saying something they'd have lauded Corbyn for if it was the other way around.

People are blaming him for the tube situation when it is the London mayor who has autonomy over that and decided to cut tubes down. Even if a full lockdown was in place, not everybody can work from home. In a place like London you'd still have thousands and thousands of 'key workers' having to go into work and the tubes would still be needed and they'd still be full unless Khan put more on again.

So let's just get through this - not without questioning or pushing for more improvements - but first get through this.

Then every single western government (along with China but that's a separate matter) needs to be in full focus.

Let's face it, the Italian government were warned by WHO they weren't acting quickly enough almost three weeks ago.

Same for Spain and France. Same for us.

What are the weeknd numbers like in the UK?

Believe it was 48 deaths yesterday (don't know whether that's down or up from the day before). I could be wrong.

In terms of the numbers overall

They're not listening because they're thick. A lack of education in social awareness is causing this. It's normal for the vast majority to do the right thing, but there's a large element in this nation who have been brought up to do what they want. It's a pity this virus isn't targetting cockwombles.

i think it’s unfair to lump that in with the halfwits treating this like a bank holiday . Of course the tube cramming is awful and will undoubtedly lead to infection but I still feel there is a degree of mitigation

my guess is because they have to go to Work and half the tubes have been shut down . I’m happy to criticise some people treating this like a holiday but some of them are probably nhs staff or key workers

Not advocating the text in the tweet itself but it's mad how packed it is, still.

Spot on.

That and there's a few generations of people who are simply used to nothing that bad ever happening to them.

They think they're invincible. They don't equate any lessons from history to themselves.
