Sites are open in most of the country. A lot went to 7 days a week working two weeks ago ahead of a lockdown. Most are self employed so are crapping themselves about money. I’m not saying this is ok what they are doing but after speaking to a lot of lads on sites there working until ordered to stop by the government.Construction sites in London are still open.
Why? It’s not critical work ffs. It’s so typical of the pathetic macho culture that is still deeply ridden within construction and why as an industry it’s still stuck in the past.
According to the office manager there are people in the site office who have underlying health conditions, the only reason why they’re not at home is because they’re either being pressured to be in or they have been told they won’t be getting paid if they self isolate (as I was).
It’s pathetic and incredibly irresponsible.
As a result the underground at 7.00am is standing space only. Worsened by the closure of 40 tube stations and reduction of services.Same here in Mid Wales, construction workers at work, my neighbour scaffolder went off to work at his usual time.
Deserves to have his tongue ripped out with a pair of pliers.
I desperately need a haircut Mikey.I agree with shaming the people who are refusing to social distance in non-essential situations to be honest
At this rate they're going to put the country into lockdown
Selfishness really has become a way of life in not just this country but lots of other one's too
Put the greater good before your own self interests. Stay indoors and keep your distance unless you have a genuine reason for going out. It's not all about you
Me and @Bruce Wayne are back on good terms@Bruce Wayne has been lurking.
If you don't feel like posting Bruce, a quick "like" from you so we know you're OK would do the trick.
.We have kissed and made up.Obviously we were both wearing our face masks. My site in Central London was open last weekend too and they’ve provided parking spaces for some people on site but there’s nowhere near enough space.Sites are open in most of the country. A double edged sword theory of yours, not saying it will cure anything really bad, but maybe with a combination of other medication for chest infections not Coronavirus by the way .......but it will do no harm and maybe help some symptoms - sometimes a placebo can help any patient mentally mind wise .......Absolutely it does no harm. All I'm saying is that it may have coincided with getting better - that doesn't mean it's the reason they got better.
There should be no photos to take in the first place ......I wish all the twitter warriors taking pictures of busy places had the cajones to go confront these idiots instead of taking a picture 100 feet away and uploading it online for likes and retweets.
Hate the current generation of standing around taking pictures of everything - if you aint happy about it kin do something rather than being a snitch on the arl fella's rooting for bargains lol
