Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

Although I said I wouldn’t come back into this thread, while blocking all news websites from my phone, I just thought I’d come here and say how welcoming it is to see the cases go down for the first time in a while and for the first time without any domestic prison sentences opposed by Boris.

To all those “Pro-Lockdown doves”, to quote an article from October last year….. go do one. Yeah, let’s all trash economies, people’s businesses and mental health to high heaven!. To think how many times we were discussing how important this is and to “talk to someone” if you’re feeling suicidal, only for it to stop being mentioned since March last year is disgusting.

Okay, the first one in the whole of the U.K. was needed, as well as the third, but the second England wide one was just inspired by Drakeford’s “circuit breakers”, which caused nothing but mental anguish over here. Having a fourth one won’t happen and anyone supporting it if it gets threatened can go do one and hide behind the sofa. I am not buying all this scaremongering from the MSM fish and chip wrappers of tomorrow.

We had 16 months of this and I am sure I speak for everyone that we won’t have it ever again.

This isn’t aimed at all “pro-lockdown doves”, but only those who like the idea of a dystopian future where we float freely in and out of them without any objection from the public and no notice when they will end.

We are getting out of this and it’s only a matter of time things will get back to how they were. I went to work to Cardiff on the train today and saw my friend who works in the same building as me on the table seat opposite, it was the first time in ages we seen each other and it felt like old times again. That won’t be the last of them old times coming back. I said to her when the train got to the platform “See you in The Prince of Wales after work for a drink at the bar for the first time since God knows when?”, and she said “Damn right!. 5pm it is!”.

Go suck on your sour grapes Dave.

Ah ok, thanks.

Yes that's my view. Of course entirely predicated on us avoiding another catastrophic variant. But our third wave has peaked I thank. The soft-launch several days before the nonsense "Freedom Day" was the big burnout.

That being said I only mean this from a deaths perspective. The lasting damage for even those with one jab is terrible.

I'm on day 7 after first symptoms. Feel shattered, no energy, very fatigued.... Like a semi light headed feeling. No headaches or temps.

Had a call off someone offering to drop off an oximeter to keep an eye on oxygen sats. She said even if you aren't breathless you could have underlying infection that causes lower oxygen. Something I wasn't aware of.

She said even if symptoms have dropped off don't do anything strenuous. Stay hydrated and rest etc.
Get well soon mate...and anybody else who has it - or anything for that matter.
