Its disturbing and wrong we are vaccinating under 30s and the States are offering free beer for young people to get a vaccine while healthcare workers in Africa or the elderly in Japan can’t get a vaccine.
We will all get very altruistic and compassionate, once we’ve made sure we are alright in the Western world.
Sad in so many ways.

Going to be interesting to see how many vaccinated passengers don’t sign up given the risks of being stuck offshore unable to dock because of an outbreak among the unvaccinated passengers.

Can the government not look at the rate of admissions now compared to prior periods and use that to justify the vaccine success?
Last September number of people in hospital increased by 1700 from 800 to 2500 approx in a month.
At a similar point, let's say since pubs opening up from 17th May, to date the number of people in hospital has fallen by 7 altho admittedly over a 3 week period.
Surely that means vaccine is ace?

Much as I support mask use and think it a useful tool, suspect this is largely an example of “correlation does not imply causation” - regular mask wearers are likely to have done other things to reduce their risk profile.
Been doing some follow up on this and the general scientific views seem decidedly mixed on it, especially at the annual price (pre insurance coverage) of over $50,000
