Hospital numbers are lower than last week. Pagel supports lockdown more than Davek, I wouldn't use her extremist views as fact. She finds data to suit her viewpoint.

Hospital numbers aren’t always linear though, today’s cases could be hospital cases in a month.

I agree though Christina does tend to be a bit alarmist. While she’s right in terms of risk, I think we are all waiting and watching the U.K. and seeing how the vaccines stand up to this variant. I was concerned last week when cases jumped by about 30%, but thankfully they look to have returned to mean, unless less testing is done over the weekend. That said the U.K. may have gotten on top of the biggest areas of outbreak and are seeing a reduction based on efforts locally. I think I said it a month or so ago, the Indian Varient was always going to take over from the U.K. Varient as the dominant one given its transmissibility. We’ve lucked out to that it’s become dominant outside of flu season. The world is keeping a close eye on the U.K. though to see how these vaccines stand up...fingers crossed.

But that’s not all linear could be anything from 2 -4 weeks for infection numbers to turn into hospital numbers. Not saying hospitalisations will increase, but comparing day to day to hospitlation figures on the same day, isn’t always reflective.

Hospitalisations due to covid will decrease. Those left to be vaccinated i.e. young adults will not generally require hospitalisation.

If there's one measure that the government should keep in place past June 21, it's to WFH when you're able. This should continue for a long time to come.

There was plenty of SD going on but no masks, tables spaced apart etc but still people having a good time, kids playing on the fair, parents having a picnic and bottle of lager.

Im not shouting anybody down, I just think regardless of what happens on 21st June, lockdown is over anyway. Only thing you can’t do is stand up in a boozer.
Or go to gigs, or nightclubs.

There are also pubs that haven't even bothered opening because they can't adhere to the current social distancing restrictions due to limited space
