10% of people who aren't vaccinated don't even get seriously ill with covid, how can you say 10% of vaccinated people will get ill? That's clearly not statistically correct.

Statistically I don't think its right to do it that way. 4 people in hospital had 2 doses. Some of them might only have just had their second dose which would mean they're not fully protected. If one was apparently 101 years old he could easily be in there for other reasons.

It's not 10% of vaccinated people who get hospitalised. In reality its massively below 1%, its probably below 0.1%.

Hospitalisations due to covid will decrease. Those left to be vaccinated i.e. young adults will not generally require hospitalisation.

If there's one measure that the government should keep in place past June 21, it's to WFH when you're able. This should continue for a long time to come.

If the infection rate doubles again the June 21st will get pushed back a few weeks.

I tend not to take any notice of this scientist but I thought I should read the full post anyway. I was surprised at the rise in cases in Liverpool (nothing to do with me guv honest) and that they had trippled in a week. Then I noticed the vaccine take up which is horrific.

57% first jabs against 75% nationally, and 38% second jabs against 48% nationally. What's going on up there guys.? You're in danger of this Indian variant taking hold up there and doing some real damage to the higher risk. Or is there a massive anomaly in the age spectrum up there that I hadn't realised?. Is Liverpool now overrun with young people?
