Finished work at half 3 and thought i might pop out for a quick pint outside in the sun.

Queues 30-40 deep outside every pub. The empty tables are all booked and unavailable. People have bought bottles from the shop just to stand in line and drink them in the marathon wait for a table to drink some more.

It's going to be absolute mayhem in a couple of hours.

Decided to just get a few Tyskies and head back to ours.

Some right sad knackers around - its all for social media as well "arl look r kid im avin a bevvy with Ronnie n Tito from the yard lad"

Ireland is going to restrict AZ to over 60s later.

Yea saw that,my wife type 1 diabetic and is 33 and was due to get it last week the day the EMA announced that there was a clear link, she questioned what would happen if she got the first dose and then they changed the age, the Doctor couldn't answer so my misses asked if she could leave it until she saw where the pieces landed.

I suppose it depends on their vaccine supply line. If they have loads of other vaccines due to come in, and by comparison just a few AZ, why take the risk?

In the UK, our main supply is the AZ, which is probably why we have set the bar at 30. Personally, as the risk is so low, and the vast majority of under 30s are not going to be vaccinated for another 3 months at least, IMO there was no need to set any bar at the moment. Just continue witg the rll out of second doses and first doses to the over 30s, and when it's time to do the under 30s just say we now have a different vaccine for them,

As it stands, loads of people, both over 30s di=ue to get their first dose, and under 30s due to get theior second dose, are panicking over AZ for no good reason.

I'm just back from the local pub. Me and the missus had a couple of pints after being out for a walk and a bit of food shopping. Our pub was busier than expected, although a quite a few of tables were taken by out of towners who must have booked some self catering accommodation. Still, there were a couple of tables free,

Despite the fact those charges could well apply to me at some point I can understand the restrictions, seemed crazy that for so long people could just travel in without any checking especially from hotspots like the US has often been.

In fairness my missus did that. She didn't post it on open Facebook though, just sent it to a few close friends and family. Unfortunately the photo included me with a full on bonnet complete with fringe over my eyes. Her mate said I looked like Grumio from Plebs. lol
